Interesting biography. Unfortunately I can't remember him as a player.

I find it interesting that Raheem Morris was passing game coordinator for the Falcons. Wasn't his coaching background mostly as a defensive assistant?

No, he's been coaching dbs all along...

He was a defensive backs coach in college before even coming to the NFL. Morris was basically a Defensive Assistant with the Bucs in '02 and '03, but was then a DB Coach Assistant in '04 and '05. In 2006 he was the DC for Kansas State, but he re-joined the Bucs as their DB coach for '07 and '08 when Bradley was their LB Coach before becoming their Head Coach for '09, '10 and '11. Then for '12, '13 and '14 he was the Redskins DB Coach before joining the Falcons last year as their Passing Game Coordinator in a similar scheme.

So, where Marquand has no college experience and 4
years pro experience as a coach, Morris has five years worth of college experience along with 13 years of pro experience.

So Raheem Morris coached DBs and QBs the same season?

Good thing job resumes are not written in paragraphs like that. It looks confusing without an organized list format.

Does it really make a difference if a coach had college jobs before jumping to the NFL?

QBs? Huh?

Like I said, it is too confusing to write a resume in paragraph format. You need to write a list.

Brovas got supa hot fire on da board
Manuel was a very good player at UF, he knows the system coming from ATL playing under Dan Quinn, and  was with Seattle

Here we go with the "As long as we're all cool with each other" staff. Get someone that isn't afraid to rustle some feathers and get some production out of the group jeez. Tired of being a charity case.

I can not stop watching this.

"You have to have a guy who is able to go up and contest and play the ball in the air," Manuel said. "One thing about the length, it negates a lot of speed; you can't get off of the press (coverage), you can't get downfield." Falcons fans are excited to see how Manuel maximizes the many talents of their team's secondary, including those of cornerbacks Trufant & Alford.

-----------------

They did get less INTs in 2015 than previous years though.  Falcons went from leagues worst in yards allowed in passing game to 18th this season though...

and hes a former Gator intern.. just sayin..

Manuel was a solid player and he was our starting free safety in 2005 season. Unfortunately, he was injured in 2nd quarter of Super Bowl against the Steelers and we had to play 3rd stringer Etric Pruitt for the rest of the game, which was one of the main reasons we lost (beside Bill Leavy and his crew of course).

I also think he's a good coach and knows the system well working under Pete Carroll for 3 years and Dan Quinn last year. Some of our fans, who are better evaluators of coaches than me also said a couple of years ago Manuel has a HC potential in the near future.
