D6 is getting a very early start on this weekends football games.
Someone is ready for the playoffs to begin.
Seattle is favored in this game,
3 of the 4 lower seeded road teams are favored this weekend and the 4th is either a PK or a 1 point home favorite, depending on casino. Wow!!!!

P.S. I guess this means Teddy is the first QB of the 2014 draft to start a playoff game. Well, one of the QBs was going to do it and Teddy is on the best team of those 2014 drafted QBs who are starting.
It looks like D6 got the two conferences mixed up. AFC teams play today and NFC teams play tomorrow.
Good or bad, this game is guaranteed to be a very cold one because the Vikings play at home.
BTW I am rooting for Seattle because I wanted Green Bay, not Minnesota, to get a home game in the WC round. GO SEAHAWKS!

I can't recall at least 3 out of 4 lower road teams being favored in an NFL Playoff Weekend. At least for me, all of these games are challenging to pick, even without the spread.
I saw 11 Vikings games in the regular season this season. The Seahawks, along with the 49ers in the opener, gave Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings overall their most problems in any of those games.
The good news for the Vikings is they should be much healthier on Defense for this game than they were during most of the game against Seattle last month. In the first game between the teams, I never saw Russell Wilson play better and the Vikings couldn't get Adrian Peterson going at all. The Vikings Offensive Line was no match for the Seahawks Defensive Line. The overall Seattle Defense looked like the unit that was # 1 on Defense in 2013 and 2014.
This game should be closer but the Vikings Defense needs to play much better in order for their Offense not to have to play from behind. The Vikings need to be able to stick with their running game, as they are not built to play from behind with a double digit deficit as the game moves along.

LOL! I'm looking forward to all of the playoff games but this one especially. In large part, because of the memories of the cold weather playoff games that Vikings used to play in the ' Met' .

Update. Now GB has moved from a 1 point underdog or PK to a 1 point favorite or PK since I posted earlier this morning, so that means all 4 road teams are underdogs or at minimum (Wash) a PK.
For those not sure why I list the game as
a 1 point favorite or PK, I check a site that has about 6 or 7 casinos and their odds and some have GB as a 1 point favorite and some have the game as a PK. That's why.
You might even be able to find a site out there that still has Wash as a 1 point favorite, it is possible because the game is still a few days away, and the odds can still change.
Even with Green Bay's struggles, I think they win this one.
Washington hasn't beaten a team with a winning record all year.
They are 0-3 vs teams with winning records losing all of them by 14+. They lost to the Jets by 14, Pats by 17 and Panthers by 28.

The NFL should move this game to a dome! Only kidding, sort of. I know we like to romanticize those Bud Grant games of yesteryear but come on, I want to see the best football possible - and you can't play your best football if you are worried about your fingers falling off your hand.
And the fans! I though we Jaguar fans were tough - we had two games this year in which the temperature got below 50! How in the world can you stand 0F to 05F for three hours? Especially when you can stay home and watch it? How much beer do you have to drink? Talk about the definition of being crazy.
But it will look cool on TV.

Obviously weather like that favors a style of game that both of these teams possess, strong defense and a ground attack.

Don't forget there is an indoor stadium under construction. That is why the Vikings have to play outside for two years. After that one is built, Minneapolis will host the Super Bowl.
I don't understand why Minnesota would want an indoor stadium instead of an outdoor stadium; why not be strategic and have visitors play in freezing temperatures in front of a hostile home crowd? Seattle used to play in a dome, and they have clearly benefited more by playing outside in the Clink.

DiamondJag I agree with you in I think they would want to build an outside stadium too. I personally enjoy watching outdoor games in the winter. I love snow filled fields.
I'm sure the players would say much differently but as a fan I love it.
Unfortunately it sounds like all this game will have is bitter cold.
