What makes matters even worse for the Browns fan base is the player the team selected with pick # 8 in that draft, CB Justin Gilbert, has not only been a major disappointment on the field but has been very immature in his own right. If not for the Johnny Manziel debacle, Justin Gilbert would be a major national story.

Your dead right Gilbert has been a colossal bust also. If I was a top pick in the draft I would flat out refuse to go to Cleveland.

I hope Manziel and Gilbert fall down a well.

I remember when a lot of people wanted him, and didn't want Bortles.
Johnny Manziel seems to be on a path that even Jerry Jones might determine that Manziel has too much baggage to risk bringing to the Cowboys.

Other than possibly Jerry Jones/ Cowboys, what other team would even consider bringing in Johnny Manziel any time soon? Right now, I can't think of any other team.

Dave Caldwell was doing everything he could to keep his interest in Blake Bortles a secret. That prevented us from knowing more about him than we knew about Johnny Manziel.

All of the rumors are about Johnny Manziel being traded to Dallas because Jerry Jones wanted to draft him. My question is why

Apparently, Jerry Jones was talked out of drafting Johnny Manziel with that pick, with the thought process that the Cowboys needed pick # 16 Draft Resource for much greater current needs. As it turned out, RG Zack Martin, the player the Cowboys drafted, made the Pro Bowl his first two seasons in the NFL. Martin certainly contributed heavily to the Cowboys going 12-4 in the 2014 season and winning the NFC East Title.
Oh yeah I forgot he was their first pick. Kept thinking of Byron Jones.
