Quote:I'm not disagreeing with you, but is it or is it not true you have a hankering for Buckeye players? Don't you think that may be influencing your opinion?
Because I am an Ohio State fan, I watch a lot of Buckeyes games. That means getting many chances to watch Joey Bosa play. My opinion is only affected by which college he attends to the extent that I watched Bosa play many times. Keep in mind the only other Buckeyes player I have been praising on this MB is Ezekiel Elliott. So you can trust me I am not expressing bias toward Ohio State.
Quote:You are just hating on him because he is a Buckeye. If you know how good Joey Bosa is you have no reason to say he will suck in the NFL.
Ha! He nails it with an actual article and that's your response. I'd take Ogbah over Bosa, along with VH and Ramsey.
Quote:you mean when he was suspended for the opener for allegedly using drugs?
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball...at-va-tech
That article doesn't say he used drugs. It says the suspensions were for "drugs and academics" so isn't it possible he was suspended because of academics and not drugs? I'm not saying you're wrong and maybe it has come out he did use marijuana. I just don't see where it says it directly there. I took it as some of the four were suspended for drug violations and some of the four were suspended for academics.

At the time he was suspended, the only report I found anywhere was "a violation of team rules." I never could have guessed drugs had anything to do with it. What we do know for sure is it was an isolated incident, not a chronic problem that is worth pushing him down the draft board. So I am not concerned about it at all. What does concern me is if the Titans want to start with a DE we will have to play against him twice a year.
I think it would be more likely that we'd back into the first round should someone like Jaylon Smith, should he enter, or Myles Jack if one of them falls. It would be nice to draft someone like Ramsey at 5 and trade up into the 20s to grab Jaylon Smith.

Personally from the draftbreakdown games I have watched of Bosa he doesn't scare me much. I'm not saying he won't be a fine player but he didn't jump off the screen at me like a number 1 pick should.

There is certainly a chance he will not be the #1 pick. Often the favorite at that spot is not selected first overall. Projections change drastically after the NFL Combine. But I would be shocked if he drops out of the top 5.
No I would not want to trade up a few spots. Let alone give away our second rounder to do so. I wouldn't mind trading back a few spots depending on how things go.
I also wouldn't mind trading back into the first if someone falls far enough for us.

I don't want to trade down either. We need the BADP (best available defensive player) if Joey Bosa is off the board.

Bosa wouldn't be BADP if he was still on the board.

Yes he would.
Bosa has character issues, JW
suspended for the opener.
he's a bad apple.

Read my post again. I clearly explained he just made one mistake in his football career and is not a head case like Clowney. If that is bad enough to rule out a player, you must hate every play in the NFL.
JW, Clowney wasn't arrested like that thug Bosa
Who are we trading up for again?
Quote:Who are we trading up for again?
Yeah... not sure I agree this is the year for that.
Might even be the year to trade down if Ramsey is somehow gone.
Quote:JW, Clowney wasn't arrested like that thug Bosa
You are just hating on Joey Bosa again. I already explained there is a big difference between his isolated incident and Jadeveon Clowney's commitment to football. Would you rather have a guy who does not work hard enough in practice? It is obvious you just don't like Ohio State and therefore want to have no Buckeyes players on the roster (as if we did not already have one).
i love OSU, but I'm able to tell the truth - and truth is, Bosa is a thug. Yeah, all reports indicated that Clowney was a little lazy in college, but at least he isn't popping pills, smoking dope, and getting suspended like Bosa
I think GM Dave Caldwell is more likely to trade down than up especially after seeing what the Titans got for the 1st overall pick.
Update due to Trade with Rams... I just read your comment about changing Cowboys with Rams keeping the pick the same...
Mock draft update 4/15/2016
You don't give up 2 first round picks, two 2nd round picks, among others for any other position than QB especially when you don't really have one with Foles, team has been trying for a QB for a few years. The Rams take the QB with the most experience against tougher teams whom didn't break his wrist back in Oct. some say the biggest knock on him is his frame makes him vulnerable to injury in the future.
#1.) Trade with Titans, Rams draft QB Jared Goff
Eagles tried to trade with titans but withdrew offer and now are talking with Browns, since Wentz was the QB they had wanted all along. A few compared Wentz to Bortles.
#2.) Trade with Browns, Eagles draft QB Wentz
The chargers find themselves in a great spot taking the best LT in the draft that has huge praise from many of being a possible All-Pro and fits a huge need protecting their aging elite QB.
#3.) Chargers LT Laremy Tunsil
Cowboys need an edge rusher & Godfather Gil had huge praise for Bosa despite his slow speed in the Combine, yet the owner might see a potential Deon Sanders type of player in Ramsey.
#4.) Cowboys CB Jalen Ramsey
Time for the Jacksonville Jaguars #5 overall pick and tempting trade offers, but they see a guy they can't pass up on... so is it Jack, Hargreaves, Bosa, or Buckner? All have the potential to be elite, but the Jaguars got killed last season against the pass & it wasnt short passes which Myles Jack couldve helped stop. It was mid to deep passes which an edge rusher or shut down corner could help.. Vernon is a great zone scheme corner whom is physical but could get beat deep I literally had to flip a coin on this one.. but the edge rusher wins..
#5.) Jaguars draft LE Joey Bosa :thanks:

I could see the Ravens trading up for Jalen Ramsey, but they would be happy getting back a potential Pro Bowl LB that they miss more than Ed Reed being gone.
#6.) Ravens draft LB Myles Jack
New 49ers HC Chip Kelly's fast offense leaves the defense on the field more than most teams, and the team needs a good 3-4end, Buckner not only has freakishly large hands (12" record at combine) to go with his 6'7" height & 291lbs but he took over a 100 snaps in two different college games & has the stamina to remain on the field. I could see the temptation of Chip to go with RB Elliott but not as much of a need as DL.
#7.) 49ers 3-4DE Buckner
The Eagles traded with the Browns at #8, the new HC Hue Jackson (a former RB coach) can't believe that the Elliot is still on the board when Isaiah Crowell a 3.9 avg is his best back he drafts the best RB in the daft.
#8.) Trade with Eagles, Browns draft HB Ezekiel Elliott
I can see Stanley here too to protect Winston or to give him a WR weapon but they need an edge rusher that they feel Lawson is too good to let slip past them.
#9.) Bucs DE/OLB Shaq Lawson
Ezekiel Elliott said he could provide them a championship but he's off the board. They have Odell Beckham but he certainly was frustrated against the Jaguars of all Defenses bringing in Treadwell gives Odell less attention. The new HC Ben McAdoo is an offensive minded head coach. Thought about Vernon here since they lost Prince whom was also a physical zone guy.
#10.) Giants WR Laquon Treadwell
Where need meets their Best Available Player board. I could see Eli Apple going here too though.
#11.) Chicago LT Ronnie Stanley
The team needs an elite corner and takes the best one in the draft class.
#12.) Saints draft CB Vernon Hargreaves III
The team got torched by Blake last season causing them to fire the HC a week or two later, but with recent signing and this draft that all changes.
#13.) Dolphins draft CB Mackensie Alexander
J.D.R drafts the fastest corner in this draft (fastest with 1st round talent that is) with Eli Apple
#14.) Raiders draft Eli Apple
The titans get a guy that play RG or RT better than what they got. They got the picks to upgrade their team and want to give Mariota more help.
#15.) Trade with Ram, Titans draft RT Jack Conklin
