Well here is the latest Jags Mock Draft. This prediction solves many of the Jags DB problems but does little to DE problem except with the only DL being drafted in the 6th. However I am sure the Jags who right now have less than $107 million in cap space committed with a projected cap of $150 million could solve a few of their problems in FA.
I don't think Aguayo will be available in the 5th.
If that happens might as well rename the team the Jacksonville Jaginoles.
1. S Ramsey ...OK pick
2. LB Lee ...already have Telvin at WLB role.
3. CB King ...not impressed by King.
4. OT Haeg ...looks lacking strength, Wells looks better.
5. K Aguayo ...nice upgrade if available here.
6a. LB Smith ...nice needed LB depth.
6b. DE Field ...troubled talented pass rusher will be chosen sooner.
7. RB Taylor ...loved Fred, unfortunately not Fred.
Desmond King is staying for his Senior season.
I would be absolutely thrilled if we drafted Kelvin Taylor. I KNOW he's not Fred, but still....nostalgia, etc, etc.

We aren't getting anything out of our 7th rounder anyways, I'd blow it on Kelvin Taylor, if only to give Fred something to smile about
But I'm a fan, and only fans care about stuff like that

Yep. Only with the late round pick. Agreed.
Lol drafting a kicker. Classic terrible draft move.
Never ever draft a kicker. Gostkowski... Tucker... Not drafted.

Gostkowski was taken in the 4th round, but yes Tucker was undrafted. I don't think you should waste a pick on a kicker till round 6 only IF you believe he is going to be on a probowl level.
I like Ramsey a lot.
I don't see where Lee would fit, especially as a high second-rounder. We have a WLB in Telvin Smith, and the other side calls for a completely different type of player.
King is returning to school, soooo...
I would not complain about Haeg. Not familiar with him as a player, but a mid-round OT should be high on the list, primarily to get Young the hell off of this roster.
I hate, hate, hate the idea of drafting a kicker, certainly not before the sixth round, but if we have to waste a pick on one, it might as well be Aguayo. I mean, we do need someone to get 24-of-38 out of the locker room...
Smith is a very nice athlete who could probably fill in at all three linebacker spots as a backup. I like the value.
Fields is scum. I want no part of him.
If Fred's kid is on the board when we pick in round seven, I would absolutely be ok with spending a pick on him to see what he's got. He's not going to be anything close to his dad, but we don't need him to be. We just need him to suck less than Slowby and do a better job of keeping the ball in his chest than Denard does.

lol he was a 4th round pick
1st round - Yes please
2nd round - No.Where would he play in this defense?
3rd round - Nice spot for King, had he declared
4th round - In general, I don't think 4th round is a good spot for OTs. Unless you plan on him being able to play G. I say that because the really good ones get taken in the 1st and 2nd, and those that aren't but with potential to develop later.
5th round - No. Keep in mind how high we're picking. Our 4th and 5th round picks are essentially 3rd and 4th round picks.
Now that the season is over, I will make my first mock draft for 2016. My first option in the first round would be Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State. If Tennessee takes a LT in round 1 like many draft analysts are predicting, then Bosa could slide to the Jaguars. My second option for the first round would be Jalen Ramsey, FS, Florida State, who has a high probability of being selected before the Jaguars' selection by San Diego. So that leaves the Jaguars selecting between Miles Jack, LB, UCLA, (who may be taken by Dallas) and a defensive lineman. Yes, the team could go CB, but there really isn't a CB that matches Gus' preferences. As to Hargraves he was beaten deep in both the championship game and his bowl game. So I pass on him at #5.
So which DL do the Jaguars select in round 1?
1. DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon - Yes, I know he basically plays the same position as Odrick, but he is a better pass rusher. The only other top candidate for rush DE other than Bosa, Shaq Lawson, hurt his knee in his bowl game.
2. Darian Thompson, FS, Boise State - A ball hawk and if the Jaguars don't get Ramsey in round 1, then this is the selection for round 2.
3. Sebastian Tretola, OG, Arkansas - Linder to C, Tretola plays LOG and Cann ROG.
4. Deiondre' Hall, CB, Northern Iowa - Don't know if he would make the starting lineup, but he would add competition to the CB position.
So there it is. My first mock draft for 2016. If Bosa and Ramsey are both selected before the Jaguars turn, then I hope the opportunity to trade back does present itself. With two QB available I think it would be a possibility this year.
Buckner and Thompson in the first 2 rounds is certainly a possibility. Kiper recently rated him as a top 5 prospect and he seems to be a player that can fit any scheme. If Bosa is already gone and the Jags address cornerback in free agency (Jenkins/Johnson), Buckner may be the best choice. Thompson looks like the 2nd best free safety behind Ramsay and if his post-season workouts are impressive and the Jags don't sign Berry/Gipson/Weddell in free agency he would be a logical 2nd round pick.
Can't say I know much about Tretola and Hall, however I don't see them moving their best guard (Linder) to center. If they do move someone, it will be Cann or Shatley, but this would be risky based on their lack of experience at this position. I'd be very surprised if Alex Mack is not a Jaguar next year. Despite his high price tag, he would stabilize the line and hopefully his presence would help Joeckel. Being a year away from his injury, I expect him to perform like a pro-bowler again next year and Caldwell will target him on day 1 of free agency.
I really like Darron Lee. Unless someone like Bullard is still there I would very happily take him at 39 and figure out how to fit he and Telvin on the field at the same time. Would be so fun to see those two go to work.
It's still way early, but as of now I would prefer:
1 - OT Stanley
2 - CB Apple
3 - DE Oakman
4 - C Tuerk
5 - K Aguayo
6a - FS Bush
6b - LB Smith
7 - RB Carson

Touché young sir.
Still... It's like the people who draft a kicker early in fantasy football. No need to do it.
Jason Meyers, for all of his terrible missed extra points, was actually pretty good at field goals. Am I the only one okay with assuming he can work out the xp issues and come back and play well next year?
I don't think a team should draft a kicker before 6/7 unless it is a rare exception. I believe Aguayo is that exception. He is the first kicker to declare early in 16 years, since fellow FSU alumn kicker declared early and got drafted in the first round.
I don't think Aguayo should go in the first round like fellow Nole Janikowski, but Aguayo is a steal in the 5th. Aguayo leaves FSU as the most accurate kicker in college football history. 0-40 yards: 244 out of 244, 40-49: 18 out of 24, 50+: 5 out of 8..... yes please!
