Who are we to turn down anyone at this point.  Especially when it comes to defense.

Just like when i was getting bashed for wanting the team to trade for a pass rusher at the deadline while we were still in the playoff race.

True, it's not like our guys have been setting off any fireworks lately.

At the right price/contract I'd look into it but at this point I'd look into almost any Def free agent

I can count on the other hand the reasons we should;

 

1)  Less likely to get called for a horse-collar tackle.

2)  We'd finally have a truly explosive defense.

3)  The nickname "Rocket Man" is just too good to pass up.

As far as JPP is concerned, I'm not sure why people think he's going to be a bargain signing, or that he's going to be willing to play on a prove it deal.  There are teams that will bid up his price.  He's not going to be as cheap as some of you want to believe.

 

That being said, if the money is right for this team, sure, sign him.  I just don't think that will be the case.

Because his hand is mangled? And if he isn't going to be a bargain signing and some teams want to up the price, then let them have him.

I don't think the injury is going to turn him into a minimum wage player.  It may ding his value to some extent, but not to the point where some here think.

That's all that I imagined was a small discount, or like some have suggested, a prove it deal with escalators.


Besides fowler coming back I do expect a free agent pass rusher to be added. So I assume he will at least get looked at.

I believe the correct term would be "Fire Sale".

JPP could blow his legs off and still be an improvement over our "pass rush."

I think with jpp, especially, we won't know for a while where he will sign because he won't wanna play his hand too early...
