I like Caldwell, but I feel like we really were set up to fail at the RB position this year. I like Yeldon and Denard, but Yeldon is a developing rookie and Denard cannot carry the load a whole game by himself. Outside of that we had Gerhart who is an absolute dud, Pierce, who was already coming off a bad year and didn't really do anything and we had an UDFA who was speedy, but whose fumbling issues popped up pretty quickly. We had depth issues very early in the season and didn't really address them. Neither of the two RBs we picked up give any realistic hope for relief. This is a position that Caldwell needs to upgrade in the offseason. We were a one dimensional offense too often this year. Denard has speed and skill, but isn't built to carry the load. Yeldon should be able to improve if we can get better line play, but we cannot have an empty cupboard again behind these two players next year. If Yeldon is truly our #1 (all indications are the front office and coaches feel he is), we need to bring in one or two RBs who can legitimately push Denard for that #2 spot.
I think Yeldon with more carries from Denard is a very competent one-two punch. If a better RB presents himself then you get him but it shouldn't be any type of priority.
A returning Linder and a better center will make this run game suddenly come to life.
I just feel we need to bring in a true power back, that can lead block.
I agree, Tolbert would be a great addition
Would have been nice to land murray. Even though he hasnt done much in philly, i feel like he would have done better on this team away from all the drama in philly. Either way i feel like we should take the vet avenue in FA if one is avalible since we already have youth at the position. Anyone know of any good rb's hitting fa this year?

Tolbert, would be perfect for us struggling in short yardage downs running the ball
I never realized how good Yeldon was until yesterday, when he wasn't playing. Instead of throwing an interception at the Atlanta one yard line, Bortles could have given the ball to TJ, and he would have scored.
