Hi. Jaguars fans! Lions and Saints are playing out the season in prime time for ESPN'S Monday Night Football. Kickoff from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is by 8:30PM Eastern Standard Time. NO injuries, and GEAUX SAINTS!!!!! WHO DAT!!!

We want the Lions to win because if the NFL draft was tomorrow, they would pick two spots ahead of us. I also want to see the Saints suck to give myself confidence in our chances of an upset next week. GO LIONS!

Who else is watching this game besides D6?

We should score 60 points next week, but we will probably score 17.

Saints defense is atrocious. Probably worse than ours.

Lions just pushing them around...would love for us to do the same.

With the way the Jags are playing lately, the Saints will probably ring up 6 sacks and hold our offense to 10 points. Ya know #becausejaguars.

I saw during the game their defense is #31. So yes, it is worse than ours.

storyline to keep an eye on this week. Brees was in a walking boot after the game with a noticeable limp. I just went and looked, apparently Matt Flynn is the backup now

I saw Matt Flynn warming up on the sideline. Drew Brees clearly was having some trouble with his right foot after that. I hope he is OK.

  I have great admiration for Drew Brees as an opposing player.   IMO,  he warrants serious consideration as a first ballot HOFer.   When your team beats a Brees led Saints team,  regardless of the circumstance it's a major accomplishment.     Brees displayed tremendous toughness and focus last night after he injured his foot on the play that Ziggy Ansah almost sacked him.  

 

  Yet,  having said all of this,  I definitely believe it's in the best interest of Drew Brees and the Saints that he doesn't play against the Jaguars this coming Sunday.   Any benefits of Brees playing for the Saints are far exceeded by the risks associated with him playing.   Brees probably should be shut down for the rest of the season.   If the Saints are going to be a significant factor next season,   at the very least they need a relatively healthy Brees.

It was obvious last night Drew Brees is a tough guy. I have no idea how he could jog to the next LOS without a limp when his foot was clearly bothering him. He should not practice much this week IMO. I'll expect him to play against the Jaguars unless a report comes out suggesting he won't dress up.

 

What happened to Ziggy Ansah? He just fell down untouched. Mike Tirico announced he was helped off following the commercial break. He looked OK on the sideline.
