Zane Beadles whiff on the 3rd down Bortles sack on the Jags last drive was of epic proportions and was the reason for the sack......sorry I don't have a video to post.  If you have a recording of the game go check it out.......horrible. Hopefully Linder occupies that spot on the offensive line next year.

Beadles was a goner before that. It was very ugly, and so disappointing. Poor Bortles.
He won't be starting next year.

I'd like to say Beadles is the worst FA signing so far, but then I remember how much we payed White Rhino...  Sick  Sick  Sick

Caldwell needs to land some more big FA's like JT this off season. Get Eric Berry, Josh Norman, Von Miller, or Wilkerson please!

Keep Cann at the right and move Linder to the left? That would help Joekel a lot.

Horrible pickup by Dave- but you can't hit on them all...

I also think Beadles is part of what ails Joekel. If our "franchise" LT had a competent or at least a starting caliber guard then he wouldn't look as bad.

It'd help him, but biggest issue I see with Joeckel is the fact that he doesn't do well vs. a bull rush.  That's just something he's gotta get better at.
Neither Joeckel or Beadles is worth the money they get. Dave... the left side of the o-line needs serious upgrades... as does our entire d-line.

Yeah, Beadles does a terrible job of engaging on that play. Literally he drops back into his pass protection, and looks like maybe he's expecting the running back to chip if the guy goes inside, but Nard-dog runs right by the lineman, not that I'd expect Robinson to offer much resistance to a 300+ pounder who has already fully beaten his lineman. In any case I look forward to Linder's return and Beadles' departure.
Do people use the Boselli and Searcy standard on judging our current tackles?  Joeckel is good and not good enough at times but he hasn't played that much.  It is rare to have someone be a dominant force in their first season.  Jeckel isn't going to magically become Boselli.  Think of this longevity is typical the standard for O-Line becoming HOF worthy and with a shortened career Tony is being considered.

Need to stop comparing these guys to once in a lifetime players.

Joeckel isn't good, but I think the team can win with him at tackle as long as the guard isn't letting guys run free up the middle and holding all the time like Beadles has done. Bortles can step up or step to the side of an outsider rusher takes an inside angle, but when guys get to run straight at him inside the pocket with nowhere for him to escape that's a problem.

You are helping me with my point.  Joeckel is good enough and that will work with this QB.

Cann will be on the left. Linder will get his spot a RG back

But has it also been a detriment to trying to run the ball to the left side of the line if Joekel can get no push? I haven't watched enough of the film to make that call but judging my his inability to deal with bulrushes, I have my doubts.

Did they say that would happen? If Cann is playing well on the right it would kind of make sense to put the better player on the left side though. Whatever iteration makes them strongest.

That is a good point.  Would fixing the interior make a bigger difference running?  I think Joekel is just really getting his footing back.  Those type of injuries are tough for players that need leverage to succeed.  It is the reason he gets overrun by the bull rush.  I'm sure he will hit the gym well this offseason and work on his technique.
