Players seem to really respect him as a person and as a coach. You won't be seeing our players giving up like they did with Gus Bradley rah rah cheerleader. Discipline is good for a football team. Get the team in order and let everyone buy in. And if they don't then bye bye

Is there anything that Coughlin doesn't do?  Does he cook?

Most players don't like to lose.  As such, the "buy in" to a regime change is a lot easier when you see the other way totally backfired.

He's the best at EVERYTHING

His speech at the State of the Franchise was nice too. Dude is intense; which is what this team needs!

When you go from Gus to the -------------------> other extreme of Coughlin, it's quite noticable. He's not going to be perfect and I'm sure in a year there will be fun new threads about this or that and the love affair will be over, but for now it's a welcome change to the smiley summer camp feel. Don't forget about Marrone though, he's cut from the same cloth as Coughlin. 

Tom Coughlin is really John Wayne. John Wayne didn't die. He just changed his name to Tom Coughlin and found a way to prolong his existence. That's really Tom below in the movie "True Grit".

Tom Coughlin isn't our HC. He's the Head of football operations, our GM, HOFO. Doug is the HC and we need to compare any/all previous coaches to him, not Coughlin, even though he was our first/best HC to date.
