Quote:And in that time, Blake Bortles has risen to become the sixth-most productive quarterback in football. He is fifth in touchdowns. Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns are both top 25 receivers, and Robinson is tied with Odell Beckham and Doug Baldwin for the NFL's lead in receiving touchdowns.

Wow. A comparison to Odell Beckham is high praise for Allen Robinson. Watch Blake Bortles become a top 5 QB next season.

tough loss for the Broncos yesterday, wasn't it?

Robinson is better than Beckham.
stop it, my man ^^^

Nope, not yet at least.

I love A-Rob man, but ODB might go down as one of the best to ever play this game, even with his emotional antics. His combination of route running/speed/quick's/twitch is on another level.
Robinson has a way better head on his shoulders but, yeah at this point I'd say he's a notch below Beckham.  That's not a ding on Robinson at all.  He's still a great WR.

What Cyp meant to say was the offense if going to be a problem for opponents, the defense will be a problem for the offense though.

I kinda' doubt that.  I think his style of play isn't as sustainable for a long-term career as a guy like Robinson who has superior size and length and plays sound, technical football.

Beckham is a gifted athlete with great speed and agility that thinks circus catches are a good thing and he can't keep his head on straight.

I give him credit where due, but his detractions are real and they don't bode well for him down the road.  Speed doesn't last forever and he'll have safeties league wide head-hunting him next year.

please just stop

now you're backtracking to talking about long term outlook when before you were talking about right now

Quote me if you're going to whine and moan about my posts.

There's zero backtracking happening here. Zero. Pay attention.  I'd pick Robinson ahead of Beckham if there was a draft tomorrow including them both.

I think he's soft and  he's destined to screw up his career one way or another. I don't like his attitude, style of play and lack of proper motivation. He'll be his own downfall without a major attitude change.

On topic:  Cyprien may be right in terms of the offense  - the defense - as mentioned by others - will take some work to prove his statements true.

"Robinson is better than Beckham." - NYCJags earlier

"Well, what I mean is that Beckham's long term career isn't as bright as ARob's." - NYCJags later after everyone disagreed

Quote:Robinson is better than Beckham.

No he's not. Beckham reached 1,000 yards much earlier. Nobody else can make some insane catches he does. But Robinson definitely is not far behind.

Nice quoting skills, coward.

I've made my opinions clear. Sorry if you have trouble understanding.

I prefer Robinson's skill set and size to Beckham's speed, agility and idiocy.

Can you get your pea-brain around that one?   Happy Holidays, Numb-Nuts.
Some people should get off OBJ's jock...

he seems like a little punk to me. DB plays him tough and he gets his panties knotted up real good.

Yeah, he has a lot of skill. One handed grabs and all...

but I'm awaiting for the nova to blow up and be a [BAD WORD REMOVED] in the wind. [passing gas expletive!]

Yep. ^
No doubt Cyprien was talking about the offense, but he probably also is predicting a better defense. Sen'Derrick Marks will return; Dante Fowler will be a starter; defensive players will be drafted; and of course there is free agency. Plus he is getting better along with some other defensive backs. So it is not just the offense that will improve next season.

One of the best to ever play this game? After less than 2 years? He hasn't even been the best receiver in the league in that period. OBJ still has a lot to prove.
Call me a homer, but I'd take Robinson over Beckham too.

I agree with NYC4jags on Robinson being the better player over the long term. OBJ is uber talented, but so is A-Rob and I think Robinson's skill set will translate better throughout his career. Add in the fact that OBJ has been a prima donna even before all this Norman junk with him complaining about us headhunting in the preseason and throwing punches at several players this season (including one of our DBs). Beckham lets opponents get into his head and rattle him, while Robinson is the exact opposite of that as he just goes out and lets his play do the talking.

I don't think you can really go wrong with either since I think they will both be top five WRs for the foreseeable future, but if I was given the option to swap Robinson for Beckham I wouldn't do it.

ODB is overrated. Press him at the line and you throw him off his game. A DB just has to get his hands on him and be physical.
