Clearly it was a dirty hit and should have been flagged at the time. I'm not condoning what Beckham did but I was trying to draw a comparison to similar situations. A DB who has never been suspended for launching at a defenseless receiver rarely gets suspended for his first offense. I don't see why this would be any different. Fine them both like I said and move on.


If OBJ is suspended I fully believe it's because of who he is and the amount of media coverage the who deal received.

I don't know if I'm making this up but I believe forward progress had been called, that is the impression I got from people talking on red zone when it was shown.

Beckham was trying to end Norman's career.

 

Is Norman a UFA in 2016?  If you are Dave Caldwell do you break the bank for Norman?  Keep CBs Norman, House, Colvin and Marshall.  Dump DwaGratz and Demetrius Mc7thRounder.  Championship.

Going to be difficult to get a lineman to roll up on a wr... But in the NFL, stranger things have happened.

There are plenty of downfield plays where lineman are involved, including linebackers too.

Anyway, I agree with others that he should be suspended for more than that.

This whole thing is 100% on the lack of proper officiating, I'm not saying these two knuckleheads didn't have anything to do with it but how in the name of everything holy does that garbage go without any flags in the first half

It looks like the choir boy Newman (who taunted Bortles on his pick 6) is fined as well for his actions.

In the grand scheme of things, it wont matter. Now every single player he lines up against knows how to get in his head.


I also have a feeling he's going to get roughed up quite a bit.

He kind of backtracked on it in his very next tweet.  He may end up being right, but it doesn't sound like he's completely confident in this "report".

For every person that needs him, another person needs him out... I've been incredibly lucky in my matchups this fantasy post season. Played against Dalton two weeks ago, Ingram and Yeldon last week, and OBJ this week.

Just got an update via the NFL.com app that the suspension will be upheld.

If Beckham was a DE and Norman a QB the NFL would have tried burning OBJ at the stake for that head shot;

That's true. Lucky you. I've been on the unlucky side of this one. I had Ingram too, and he's out. My RB situation this year was a killer (Jamaal Charles, Mark Ingram, L. Blount),, I was very fortunate to get in the championship. Lost all those guys, and now OBJ too.


He deserves it though.
