First the Cowboys wanted Todd Gurley with the 27th pick. When he became unavailable, they wanted T.J. Yeldon in the second round after picking Byron Jones.
Because we selected Yeldon with the 36th pick and Dallas pegged him as a late second rounder, I am wondering again if Dave Caldwell reached for him.

Maybe it's possible Dallas undervalued Yeldon.
Maybe that was wishful thinking on Dallas' part.
The Cowboys got cute and it ultimately bit them in the rear end. Did they honestly believe Gurley was going to be available at pick 27? Then figured Yeldon would last until pick 60? Then argue against yourselves about not drafting Rawls late in the 7th after not addressing the position for 6 rounds? McFadden seems to be coming along but a tandem of any one of the players mentioned would have them in a much more better position. Yeldon could potentially be up for rookie of the year behind that Dallas line.
The Rawls part got me stumped. He was available in the seventh round, so why didn't they just pick him? LOL
I think the Cowboys gave up on Todd Gurley when they figured out he would be picked long before #27.

Lol@ you thinking Dave reached on Yeldon. He has over 1000 yards from scrimmage this season with 3 games to go.
He is listed as doubtful this week, but he may play hurt and get his 1k.
He wasn't a reach at all.

Well, there was the whole "stealing an old lady's purse" thing...
Who cares i don't have any problems with taking yeldon he's a solid 2nd round pick that's producing from day one.
Starting productive player with 3 down skill set. Not a reach.
Is anyone surprised the Cowboys expected him to be available at #60?

No, Jerrah is an idiot.
Cowboys are exposed without Romo. Great offensive line, but not much else past Dez.
And a defense that lacks major talent. Living in Texas, this puts joy in my heart.

LOL I noticed on the Texans board a lot of their fans hate the Cowboys. I guess they think you are not allowed to like both teams in that state.
People who say Dallas has a decent running game have not been watching them play. It has been nonexistent this season.
That whole "Witten" guy is a bust

You can't be serious. Jason Witten is one of the best tight ends in NFL history. No pass catcher can play very well without the starting quarterback.
I...really?
Words fail me

He was really good a few years ago. Without Romo, he is not as good... plus he's past his prime. In terms of young studs, Dez is it. That's what I mean.

Nobody on offense is good without Romo including Bryant.

Hilarious.
