Aside from Bosa, who will probably be gone before we pick, who are the DL players worth looking at in the first round? And are any of them better than the CBs likely to be on offer to us if we pick somewhere around 10?

Nkemdiche maybe? A'Shawn Robinson? Shaq Lawson?
Outside of Bosa, I'm not really a fan of DLmen around our pick. Dave made a similar comment after he drafted Fowler about how he wasn't as big of a fan of the pass rushers coming out this year. I do like Robinson and would steer clear of Nkemdiche unless he falls pretty far.
Robinson and Lawson are more 12-18 type picks. I think our best bet if we stay pat at 8-10 is Hargreaves or Smith. Joeckel has been decent enough that one of the tackles isn't necessary (and both will probably be gone by the time we pick anyway) and outside of Bosa I'm not sure if any of the lineman are good enough to pass on Hargreaves.

If available, there are only two players I want unless we make the playoffs: Bosa and Hargreaves.

Nkemdiche if he makes it to our 2nd rd pick or even a late first trade up. He's a very disruptive inside player.
Might not be our biggest need but I think it would be very very tough to pass on A'Shawn Robinson is he's there when we pick. I think he's by far the best Dline prospect in the draft.

And if he's not, who do you pick?

Ramsey or Hargreaves but if they're gone then Myles Jack. Basically take the best defensive player available.

Down for this.

I think its a pretty simple formula for draft success this year.

Except we also need a guy who can snap the football. If we can't get a center in FA, I want one in the draft.
Don't be surprised if Spence is in the top half of the first round by time it's all said and done. The ability to sack the QB cures a lot of ails, and Spence does that better than anyone else purely does in this class.

Almost every player will be available in the top half of the first round. Do you mean Jacksonville's pick?
Quote:What does that have to do with also needing defensive linemen?

There is a big difference between needing a center (which we do) and needing the specific players available to fix it. Drafting a linemen just because of his job title is putting a square peg in a round hole.

I'm kinda hoping he doesn't so we could snag him in the 2nd, but I'd really have no issues taking him in the first. Spence, Jonathon Allen, and a late-round developmental kid like Matt Judon from Grand Valley State is my dream scenario right now.

It depends on our pick numbers. If the draft was tomorrow, we would have the #9 pick in round 1. That will certainly change after Week 17.

Alex McCallister from UF is declaring. Pure pass rusher with a big ceiling
I'm not on the Mile jack train..never have been. Think he is athletic but I think he has been overrated due to the infatuation he received from playing both sides of the ball his freshman year. He is a good player but won't make an impact lkme Telvin..I'm hoping Nkemdichie falls now but I doubt he takes a Shane Ray type fall..I'm thinking more to the 15 range. A dream first two rounds would be Hargreaves and then Nkemdichie

I am betting that Nkemdiche falls to the 2nd, but I am not sure if I would draft him. The dude seems to be a disaster waiting to happen, especially if his brother tags along with him. Give me a guy like Jonathan Allen or Bullard in the 2nd.
