Well, don't say "of course". Obviously it does happen but it's also common that by the time a coach is a head coach in an NFL they're experienced to a point were changes are incremental or subtle and sometimes minimal. My point is that it is more typical for a 23 year old athlete coming out of college to see dramatic improvements in their performance than a head coach in their late 40s or early 50s.
The one thing that concerns me is no matter what happens the rest of the season is they forget everything they have done and learned during the off season. Back to square 1. Hope not
I am torn. I want a new coach, but I also know things in JAx could be much, much worse. MAYBE Gus is turning a corner too. One can only hope if he is retained he has in fact turned a corner. I have complete faith in Caldwell going forward, he will fix this defense... And when he does, this team will be a powerhouse.
