I sure hope I am not just dreaming as I read this.
But....but.. Gus sucks, the team sucks and we're moving to London or L.A....

Gus does suck.
Olsen gonna get a head coaching gig.
And yet we still lose.

We're a real head coach and a few defensive players away from winning a lot of games.
Defensive off season windfall. Playoffs next season.

This.

Outside of stabilizing the offensive line and subsequent line depth, I don't see the need for a lot of investment on that side of the ball. If a majority of our off-season acquisitions are defensive and they pan out to give us an average, reliable defense, then this team instantly becomes exceedingly dangerous moving forward. My old school bias towards defensive football aside, I'll take it without question.

Agreed. For once we really don't need to touch the offensive skill positions. It's a nice feeling. I fully expect Dave to fix the defense like he did the offense in 2014. I think a new DC would help as well.

He's a cool guy I was hanging with him last night talking football, he has done a great job, I think I was one of the few people excited for him to be our OC

You should have asked him about Gabbert's "success" lol

lol we talked about how much Bortles improved and how he helped Carr, but not Gabbert, we started talking about best college QBs of all time, Luke Butkus our assistant OL coach was there too, he said Tebow and Olson was kinda hating on Tebow it was funny, Olson said Drew Brees, Butkus said its because Olson coached Brees in college haha

I've seen several stats recently that begin at week 5. Why that week specifically? Is it to make the first quarter of the season a sort of mulligan to get everything settled down?

Feels good to be in the company of those teams

We scored 9, 23, 17, and 13 in our first four games, so it's more impressive if the stat starts at week five rather than week one. Second highest scoring offense in the league*Since Week Five just sounds better than ninth highest scoring offense overall.

Yes it does. We've gone from 31st to 15th in YPG (+63) and 32nd to 9th in PPG (+9.5) in one season, that's quite an impressive jump.
I will admit I have been tough on Olsen and I'm still not sure he's the best choice for OC but the offense has done well as of late.  Particularly in the RZ which was my biggest concern.
