Hi, Jaguars fans!

Our Jacksonville Jaguars won't play until Sunday afternoon, but the 6-7 Buccaneers travel to St. Louis to play the Rams in the dry environment of the Edward Jones Dome, in tonight's 23rd all-time meeting, for a 8:25 Eastern Standard Time kickoff. Buccaneers will wear their red, while the Rams will wear their gold, Nike Color Rush uniforms, for tonight's NFL Network's Thursday Night Football game.
Rams lead the all-time regular season series, including two post season games, with 14 wins and 8 losses, but the Bucs seek to win their first regular season road game in St. Louis since 2003.
NO injuries, and GO BUCS!!!!! B) ^_^

Ugh, gold jerseys again. That is going to be ugly. Nike really screwed up on ours.
The Buccaneers should win this one. Jeff Fisher probably will be fired next month. Case Keenum is the Rams quarterback. Meanwhile Tampa Bay is still in the playoff hunt.
If the NFL draft was today, both the Rams and Jaguars would have top 10 picks. So a Rams win would help us move up in the draft order unless we clinch the division title. For that reason, GO RAMS!
If this is the last game in St. Louis, the Rams should be glad it is prime time because many of their fans stopped buying tickets. As we discussed in another thread, however, it is unlikely to be their last game there.
Not only are the Buccaneers playing for their own playoff lives, but the Seahawks and Vikings will be huge Rams fans. Both teams need the Buccaneers to lose and additional help to clinch playoff spots this week.

I'm anticipating CBS playing up the angle that this might be the last Rams home game in St. Louis. Next Thursday Night, they probably will do the same regarding the potential of it being the last Raiders home game in Oakland ( unless they eventually move back to Oakland for a 3rd time ).
Even with the Seahawks injury situation at RB, the way they are playing, they should clinch a playoff spot no later than during week # 16 regardless of what the Bucs do.
The Vikings have two straight home games in which they will be favorites ( Bears, Giants ). As long as the Vikings Defensive injury situation improves noticeably with 10 days between games, they are in very good shape.
Most likely Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will talk about the possibility of a pending move to LA partly because that is a reason suggested for Jeff Fisher getting fired. Chances are, however, that will be a minor thing compared to Fisher being on the hot seat right now because the NFL has not voted on LA yet. This is a must-win game for Fisher's job security.

Being that Jeff Fisher was the Houston Oilers Head Coach when they moved to Tennessee and he handled the transition, it's realistically possible Fisher could survive as Rams HC if the team moves to Los Angeles. Even if the Rams remain in St. Louis, Fisher could keep his job. Stan Kroenke doesn't do things by the book.
AmeliaBot posted something very similar, just a whole lot longer, on the Rams' forum.
Seriously, mods, who is this sophisticated AI?

The probability of Jeff Fisher keeping his job does not depend on the LA situation. I think that idea is based on what the Browns did when they moved to Baltimore. Regardless of what is happening in regard to Los Angeles, this is a must-win game for Fisher because he already is on the hot seat. His termination could coincide with the LA vote without being related to that.

He obviously is NOT sophisticated because of his inability to remember we wanted the Texans to lose LOL.

The bottom line is practically no one outside the Rams organization knows what Stan Kroenke will do regarding Jeff Fisher. The fact that Fisher handled a difficult transition after the Oilers moved to Tennessee leads me to believe that Fisher has a realistic chance of keeping his job another season if the team moves to L.A.

One thing we do know for sure is Jeff Fisher refuses to worry about his job security before the LA vote. He probably has not heard anything yet about the possibility of losing his job because of LA instead of the real reason: his team sucks. It will be interesting to hear what NFL Network says about Fisher tonight.

Jeff Fisher and any NFL HC in danger of losing his job shouldn't worry about job security. Anything that distracts from the product on the field puts their job security in even greater danger.
The Rams overall results would be the reason that Jeff Fisher loses his job, if it comes to that. If the Rams were headed towards the playoffs, Fisher would almost certainly keep his job regardless of where the Rams play next season.

The media wishes he would be thinking about losing his job. Reporters are known to do that. Coaches always say the same thing: "I am just getting ready for the next game." Will the media ever understand that?

The media understands it but they have different objectives than coaches. The media is about increasing ratings or circulation. Jeff Fisher is not in the least concerned about the circulation/ Internet hits for the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
BTW who are you rooting for tonight? I don't think either team can help or hurt the Lions.

I probably will root for the Rams. But it's the type of game that I could change which team I'm rooting for several times in the game. In other words, I don't have much of a preference. As an NFL fan, I will try to enjoy the skill level of both teams.
As a fan of the Bucs growing up I want them to win.
I also despise the Packers, Bears, Viqueens and Lions for obvious reasons. (Sorry D6)
The Falcons, Saints and Panthers fit the bill too.
I love the Jags, so the tacs, tinhorns and clots are on the list, as are the Browns, Ravens, Squealers, and Bengals.
As a fan of football I am compelled to hate the Broncos, Raiders, Chargers, Chiefs, Bills, Jets, Seahawks, Cardinals, and Rams.
Good sense makes me hate the Cowboys, Redskins, Patriots, Dophins, 49rs, and Eagles.
And lastly, my wife is a Giants fan so I hate them.
FSG, my rule is to root for or against teams in certain divisions:
AFCS: Against Colts, Titans, and Texans (because Jaguars)
NFCE: For Redskins, Giants, and Eagles (because Cowboys)
AFCW: Against Raiders,Chargers, and Chiefs (because Broncos)
AFCN: For Steelers, Browns, and Bengals (because Ravens)
NFCN: Against Vikings, Bears, and Lions (because Packers)
In the AFCE, I just want the Patriots to lose. In the NFCW, I have no like/dislikes, but root against the Cardinals and Seahawks when they are playoff contenders. In the NFCS, I just want to see the Panthers finally lose a game.
