Quote:Hold on there just a minute! We haven't been able to rush the passer all season but we still won some games. How does that eliminate any chance we have of winning this one?
Matt Ryan is a good quarterback. Julio Jones is a great receiver. Without a pass rush, we are going to let their connections burn us all day. Other teams like the Bills, Ravens, and Titans are not good enough to do what Ryan and Jones can.
Quote:So you think the Falcons are favored in this game? You really make no sense and what you claim are "facts" really aren't.
This game is either a toss up or its favored in the Jags direction.
I did not say the betting line favors Atlanta. It is a tossup if we get into a shootout.

And if we don't get into a shootout it's not a toss up?
Quote:Just like last week against the Clots.......don't let them score, hurry them up, defend those passes and tackle their runners.
Then score Baby....SCORE!
That is the problem - preventing them from scoring is impossible. Our defense sucks. They have talented players on offense who can run through our guys.
Quote:And if we don't get into a shootout it's not a toss up?
Correct. Not being a shootout means they win by double digits because our defense can't stop them.
13.7 pts per game over last 7. the Falcons are playing really bad football...we've been there, but we are not there right now.
Jaguars win
27-9
I'm still not sold Sunday wasn't a fluke, we'll see how they can handle ATL.
Quote:I have no idea why people call it that. The term means one team scored at least 50 points in a game.
... it's called a '50 burger' because it taste so good when it comes around.
... Lee is called the 'albino tiger' because he has been so rarely seen.
anything else?
It's a game that we can win, but it sure isn't a guaranteed win. Yup, putting 50+ up on the dolts was indicative of what this team is capable of... but we sure haven't seen enough consistent good play to count on over the top performances like that. What we do know from past observation is that the Jags tend to have a hard time dealing with good... even average quarterbacks. The dirty birds have been on a losing streak, but once again, we have tended to end other teams losing streaks.
I dunno... as I already said, the Jags are capable of winning this game; it's just a question of if they will be 'up' for it after the beat down they administered to the dolts.
I have little faith in this defense. I think we get closer in garbage time than the game actually was and lose it by 6.
A win would be nice to see for the improvement with consistency, I just don't think we are there yet. I'll echo what a lot of posters are saying about a San Diego 2.0 game.
Getting into a shoot out is something I can handle.
But I don't think I could stomach is getting into a toss up. I might have to toss chunks. Which would cause me to get tossed out.
At which point I'd have to tell the bouncer to toss off.
I don't expect a TD by the defense and special teams, but I expect at least 24 points by the offense. If the defense can play well enough to keep Matty Ice and company under that we're golden.

People can't taste touchdowns and field goals LOL.

If the game is a shootout, it becomes a tossup. I love to watch shootouts . . . when I don't care who wins LOL
Quote:Jags 42, Dirty Dookie birds 10.
Fixed it for ya :woot:
If if's and and's were pots and pans.......the world would be a kitchen.
No doubt we are capable of beating the birds, but we lost out to the two lowest ranked teams in the NFL.....the chargers and the tacks.
When we put final W (that's three wins) on the 'horns......I'll renew my SEZ seats. 8-8 is respectable this day and age....especially on the way to 11-5 or better.

People don't shoot each other at games," shootout " LOL.
The key is the ability to blitz Ryan. The jags have gotten creative and send the dogs after the Qb. It's not turning up on the stat sheet but Telvin Smith has quietly become a good edge rusher.
