I would like to start a series of threads for people who missed the game for whatever reason. This is my observations as a fan watching at home. Feel free to add to this.
*Bortles was very suspect early. He almost threw 3 ints but I admit the refs missed a pass interference call on Davis.
*The offense was plain bad the entire first half. At one point the team had 5 drives in a row with 0 first downs
*Yeldon was having a very good game until he left with an ankle njury. He had a big play the 1st drive that lead to points and made several key first downs. He ran with power today breaking through tackles.
*Davis handled Robinson today. Robinson had 1 catch for 4 yards and a TD but was a non factor outside of the pass interference call he forced.
*Bortles threw what I believe the best football I have seen him throw. He ran to the right and threw a perfect dart on the run deep downfield to hurns threading through 2 defenders. Hurns catches it in stride and it was off to the races for an 80 yard td. Hurns has over 800 yards receiving
this season.
*Branch had his best day as a pro. He had a crucial strip sack td recovery that swung momentum. The fact is they were calling his name all day. He made plays in the run game and harassed the QB all day.
*Telvin Smith game is evolving and he is becoming an effective edge rusher. He forced a holding call on a crucial third down and had a handful of pressures.
*The rookie MLB had a good game. I don't remember yelling at the tv for anything stupid he done.
*The Only TD given up to the Colts was a botched snap between WIz and Borltes with the colts recovering in the endzone.
*Greene had a huge punt return TD in the third quarter that swung all the momentum to the Jaguars. The colts never were in the game afterwards
*Hassleback left the game with an injury because Roy Miller and Clemons really rocked him. He came back 2 plays later only to leave the game again for good with an injury in the second half.
*Cyprien had an int and a good return. It was like seeing a Unicorn
*The Colts run game was a non factor. The jags shut it down early.
*Denard Robinson had his best game this year. He had a couple of big runs including a TD
*Chris Smith had atleast 2 pressures that stuck in my mind.
*Mercedes Lewis had maybe the goofiest short run of all time. He caught a screen pass and danced like a ballerina. He made this slow spin move and a slow motion jump for like 8 yards.
*The Jags secondary overall played well today. Hilton had a big game but everyone else was a non factor.
Again If I missed anything important add to this.
