Quote:Yes, as long as we are still mathematical in it then yes I expect the logo to be present. If the Cowboys were in our situation, I guarantee you they would be on every sports site/television program.

No, they are right about being in the hunt. Teams that have no shot at winning the WC aren't shown there, even if they still might win their division.
Only winning earns respect when it comes to the media. I haven't heard brees or Rivers mentioned much either despite their QBs being possible HOFers. Just enjoy the journey on the mountain.

so in the hunt only applies to the wild card and ignores teams vying for the division? Somehow I don't think that is right...

Literally the only on that I have seen with the Jags listed but then again everyone here is telling me that in the hunt only applies to wildcard teams...

Nobody said it is right. That is just the way it is. The media has always done it that way since the NFL playoffs had 12 teams. It is about who has a realistic chance of getting in so they never show every team that is mathematically in the hunt (which right now would be most teams). I recommend paying some attention to who else is not on the "in the hunt" list for each conference because it is not just the Jaguars.

They are just talking about the playoff race graphics on TV. Of course NFL.com, being the official website, is comprehensive.

You might notice very few people expect the Bills, who are currently #9, to get a WC spot because they have a worse record than the Jets, Steelers, and Chiefs. In fact it seems like everyone has already ruled out the Bills.
Did anyone else see the ESPN halftime show? They showed Andre Branch's fumble return score, the 80-yard touchdown by Allen Hurns, and a couple other good plays. For a change I did not see the bad snap. But Chris Berman got the score wrong, saying we won 48-3.
