Quote:You said special teams ace. His name was ace. He was just making a joke Wink

It was late over here, my brain doesn't work past 10PM!
Quote:Thanks.  From my angle it looked like the flag affected the ball.  As for his PAT kicks, it is all in his head.  I mean right after the miss he literally put the ball through the uprights on the kickoff.  You may be right, he may be kicking too hard for them.   I have a gut feeling he fixes this issue in the off season and wins the job again next year.

If IIRC, Josh had the same issue his rookie year. I don't have the stats, but he missed a few 30-40 yarders that year too, which is basically what the PATs are these days. And yes, I fully expect them to stick with Myers, and for him to compete next year.
Vontae Davis is a great CB. Would love to have this guy in teal.

With a young franchise QB, a great stadium/facilities, a coach that players love, an owner with deep pockets, ,etc., this team will be more attractive than ever for free agents.

Give me some Mo Wilkerson bruh
Quote:Colts fans are in meltdown mode...as is their team.

There was a time not too long ago where a loss to the Jaguars meant a loss of the head coach's job.

Given the acrimony between Grigson and Pagano, and given the Colts giving up 45 to Pittsburgh and 51 to us in back to back embarrassing losses, I'm thinking Pagano, and maybe Grigson, need to update their resumes.
I think this might be the beginning of the fall of the Colts.  They have a very old team and the Jags, Texans, and Titans are all young needing just a few pieces to be very good.  I think Starting next season, the Colts will be at the bottom of the AFC South
Quote:Not gonna lie, my crew was so ready to leave after the missed snap touchdown by the clots.  AND THEN...Branch single handedly (sp?) turned the game around.  I can not remember the last time we fans enjoyed such a lopsided victory at home.  I have no idea what was said in the locker room at half time but for the love of humanity I hope someone recorded so it can be replayed again, and again, and again, and again
I was at a bar watching the game and then the bad snap, for a defensive TD and on the next drive, a fumble by Bortles and the offense scoring a total of 3 points up until then.  I was all ready to leave.  However I was with my friend who is a Panthers fan and she didn't want to leave.  Thus a I stuck it out but I was going to go to the Publix next door to get a paper bag and put it on my head at half time when Branch recovered the fumble and ran it in.  Of course, Meyers just had to miss the extra point
I'd like to chime in here and give my thoughts as well.

There are times and games where you simply smell blood in the water from the other team. When this happens, you pound on them and you pound on them hard. You do this to put them down as quick as you can, and you do it to spin up the killer instinct in your own team. I like that once the team found the crease that they could exploit, they ripped it wide open and kept coming back to it.

1. That was as bad a first half of football offensively as I've seen. The Defense kept the team in it and I'm really proud of that, but the Offense can't put out strings like that any longer. There was a feeling of them just being "off" and Bortles just looked like it was a down day for him.

2. That was as awesome of a surge on Offense in the second half as I have ever seen. Olson seemed very tuned in as to what the Defense was giving him and he was determined to run the ball to crack open the Defense. If Yeldon had stayed on the field, he'd've gone for 120+, no doubt in my mind.

3. If Yeldon just had that second gear...

4. Welcome to the party Branch, here's hoping you can string a few of those together now.

5. Jordan Tripp did a'ight by me.

6. Julius Thomas was a perfect compliment to the players on this team. Granted, I expected him to be more productive than what he has been but now I see him as being the perfect Ying to the WR's Yang.

7. Why in God's good name was Nick Marshall covering T.Y. Hilton for most of the day?!

8. I'd pay good money out of Rico's pocket if a Defender would take inside leverage on a wideout just once. I mean, try it! They'll never see it coming!

9. Allen Robinson; even when you take him away he still scores Touchdowns.

10. I love me some Jerry Sullivan. Have you watched the Hurns Jags Wired video yet? Give it a go and listen to how Sullivan coaches those guys up. Man, he good.

Isn't Sullivan retiring at the end of this season? I hope not, because the man is doing a great job with this group.
Quote:Ill agree with #6. The Jekyll and Hyde act with Cyp is getting increasingly frustrating. Theres been too many players fitting that bill this season. Cyp, Myers, Branch, Brown, Wiz. Myers and Branch need to go. One amazing game does not a season make.
as you said, one blow out game does not make a season. It's interesting how Branch has done virtually nothing for this team all season, and now as we approach the end of the season, and it being contract time for Branch, he comes 'alive'. A little too convenient and similar to another long time Jag who has done very little for this team... except when it got close to contract time... M. Lewis.

And then? I feel like the ending was better.
Quote:Yes, like welling up wet eyes.

The boos were loooouuuudddddd too. I think he was probably just really angry with himself, a little embarrassed and humiliated by being boo'd so loudly.
Perhaps... well, good! He has the worst XP kicking record in the NFL this season. He deserves to get booed. He has certainly cost us one important game and maybe two. He shouldn't be on the field kicking XP's any more, just go for two.

Not sure if I buy this.

I think they become improved once Luck returns.

Hopefully, Grigson stays as GM.  If Grigson stays in that capacity for the Colts, I can see a longer term Colts decline.
