Quote:I think Fitzgerald gets a voted in over ar15. He may sit our due to 'injury' or being in the postseason long enough.
Big Ben same argument. Tom Brady too. Palmer.
I think for Qbs we will see guys miss the vote in that normally breeze in, like luck, p manning, and Romo.
I think every week that goes by helps bortles get in by vote.
My QBS would be Brady*, Palmer, Newton, Rivers, Dalton, Rodgers
Brees, Wilson, Big Ben, Eli, Ryan, Carr, Bortles are all on the fringe.
It's been a while since we have had a Jaguar on offense, except for MJD, on the fringe of being mentioned for going to the Pro Bowl
Quote:If bortles isn't started, let alone owned, in a fantasy league there is some.major trolling. Bortles is a must start for the remainder of the year based on a weak schedule and lack of offensive balance.
I'm in a 12 and 14 man league and hold the #1 playoff seed in both with Bortles and Robinson on each team.
If somebody isn't starting Bortles (and Robinson), they aren't paying attention.

I would venture that the fantasy teams that have Bortles have a very high % of making the playoffs. Since he wasn't over drafted, it was terrific value allowing for a good receiver or running back to be draft AND a top 5 QB.
Bortles is pretty easy fantasy play. If he has an easy matchup, he'll put up decent numbers. A tough matchup is a borderline no play. He is consistent and predictable with a good floor and no vulture running game stealing points. Fantasy gold TBH.

He's owned 76% on yahoo leagues. That said, a few of the leagues I'm in have some custom scoring. One gives 4 pts per TDs but -2 for INTs. That league penalizes Blake more than standard scoring leagues. I'm also in one that further penalizes on sacks. Regardless he's still a top 15 if not top 10
He does have a favorable schedule for the playoffs. But maybe its the Jags fan in me, but I still don't know that I can trust him over more established quarterbacks.
I'm all in on ARob/Hurns though.

Fantasy this year has been crazy with the injuries. The top 5 RBs heading in were Lacy, Bell, AP, Charles, and Lynch. Lacy has been a colossal bust, same with Lynch (though not to that extent). Bell missed games early in the year and then got hurt, Charles is done for the year. AP started slow before getting his traction on.
If you were in the top five, you likely had to take one of those guys. Which means you probably got bad value from the pick.
Absolutely Deserving:
Allen Robinson
Telvin Smith
Very Good, Wont Get In;
Blake Bortles (Maybe an alternate)
Roy Miller
Allen Hurns
Davon House (Having an outstanding season with 18 pass break-ups)

Yes you are right. However if you managed to draft a qb late or streamed bortles while focusing on solid W/R/T picks/waivers you'd have an extra high draft pick not wasted on a QB.
So many folks draft Tannehill, Brees, Peyton, when Bortles out produced them. For no or late pick.
Quote:I shamelessly voted for every Jaguar. Except Meyers. I do have standards.
We should all vote him in as a joke
A-Rob definitely deserves to get in. In my opinion the only WRs that are out performing him is A.Brown, J.Jones, D.Hopkins and ODB.
Quote:The pro bowl takes like 12 total wide outs. You're saying AR15 is not top 12?
I forgot they don't just do the AFC vs nfc thing, because the AFC is loaded at WR. I still can't say for sure that the fans of the NFL will vote in a Jaguar player, whether he's deserving or not.
I'll be pretty damn shocked if anyone besides AR15 makes it, just because they're Jaguars.
Quote:Voted for ARob, Yeldon, and Telvin
Couldn't vote for Bortles
Too many turnovers, maybe next year
What a clown statement by you regarding bortles like he's the only QB that has turnovers in the NFL so i hope you banned yourself because of a comment like that i don't respect you as a fan. I guess your screen name fits you very well.

Also, for your information do you know that for the love affair people have for derek carr he has just as many total turnovers (14) and 2 pick sixes as blake bortles total turnovers (16) and 3 pick sixes. So New Flash no QB is perfect and to not support your own when he been playing well for the most point overall is clownish on your behalf.
I don't think Bortles is a Probowl QB yet either, although I do think it won't be long until he becomes one. Sue me.

Well you'd be crazy to be taking QBs high anyway unless its just some custom setting or two QB leagues.
I was wrong about AR15. He has the highest avg yds/catch at 16.6 (OBJ is 14.4 for comparison), most 20+ yd receptions, and most TDs in the league. He's 5th in yards for WRs. I'll come unglued if he doesn't get voted in.
Being unbiased, the only Jag worthy of making the pro bowl is robinson.
Jameis is more deserving of going than Bortles.
For what it's worth it just went to nfl.com and on their "ad" for the pro bowl vote it showed AJ Green, ARob, and someone else as the actual address picture. He's going.
Also, when does voting end and the selections get announced?
Quote:Why are we fighting to get them into the ProBowl. They aren't fighting to get us cheaper beer.
i laughed!
