Today is the 74th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.

Let's all remember the losses that war inflicts.

Let's all remember how evil people can be, and how entire nations can be led into thinking that some really evil things are okay.   Some of the things the Japanese did were so awful they are hard to believe.   The Rape of Nanking, or the Bataan Death March, for example.
Sad day in history in America, and the world really.

If one takes a trip around Ford Island, the signs of the tragedy are still there...  I saw old aircraft hangers that are full of bullet holes from the attacking aircraft.  I walked on the old runway which is barely visible because it's over-run with grass and weeds.  To be there and think about what happened that day is beyond words.

Yet almost hard to believe, more died on 9/11.

Both atrocious attacks. A sneak attack and coward attack. The Japs bombed a naval facility ( in a chicken piss way).

But what is currently going on is the worst of the human race...and I use the term human loosely.

The WW2 generation clearly were the greatest. Not just for their sacrifices but in how they conducted themselves afterwards.

Salute.

That is how I felt when I visited Dachau in Germany. Such horrific things that happened there you just cannot fathom it.
