I'm sure they do, but guess what? Those would just be opinions too. Funny how that works, huh?

Michigan travels well and I'm sure Florida fans enjoy bowl games in Florida.

I'd have to think it is. Michigan travels well regardless where the bowl game is, but if I'm not mistaken I believe Florida is the state with the largest contingent of Michigan alumni.

You're going to slip a disk from patting yourself on the back so hard.

Why is everyone ganging up on the Michigan guy? You guys have done a superb job at defending the SEC's honor.

Not really patting myself on the back or is it even something to brag about. I'm just passing along knowledge as to why bowl games with Michigan (along a with other teams that travel well) sell out quickly. It seems relevant to the thread and to what Trav was talking about. Relax, man.

If Florida starts Harris, they are doomed.
The whole team quits at halftime.

In all honesty, Florida selling all their tickets is just as big an accomplishment. Would you really want to go watch your team after watching their last two games? After watching that anemic offense with a quarterback that has some of the worst accuracy issues you've ever seen?
There are many games throughout the bowl season where fans travel for different reasons. If I lived in Michigan and had a chance to travel to Florida for a bowl game after some pretty rough years of football....I'd take it.

Should be a fun game to watch.
Both of these schools are a favorite of mine.
Favorite rankings;
1) UCLA (Play in my Hometown)
2) Michigan (Grew up watching)
3) Florida (Abundance of favorite NFL players came out of Florida)

This non-BCS Bowl game mean a lot more to the players than it should to the fans.
I mean seriously, what loser dude is going to go on a message board talking trash because their team beat another team in the Taxslayer, Belk, Liberty, Citris, Peach, or other non-BCS bowl game.
As a player you always want to win and as a coach adding a win vs loss to your career record with a team may be somewhat important if you're somewhat new to the University or had a few sub-par years.

Quote:Because they don't, unless you're in one of the new playoff bowls, they mean absolutely nothing..
I see this as an excuse for team that is supposed to be in playoffs and gets beat unexpectedly, but for the gators after their terrible seasons? I can't imagine it doesn't mean anything to the playera or coaches.

Okay, other than for the actual people involved in the game, they mean nothing. Better? And actually to many of the players getting ready to come out in the draft, they don't mean that much either, because you can tell some of them aren't playing lights out or anything in fear of getting hurt....
