Quote:Tyler Eifert probably is not done for the year. Somehow Cincy will go to the playoffs. Andy Dalton obviously will be if he can't live without a cast on his right hand.
The Steelers got no help from the Chargers and Titans, which made their win today a lot more important.
The Bengals just need the Jets or Chiefs ton lose one game somewhere along the line and they'll clinch a playoff spot even if they don't win again. McCarron has to get much better super fast, or they really might not win another one.
Steelers are now in the AFCN race if Dalton is out. There's still a chance for them to win the division,, puke!
Quote:The game was in Denver. I was not expecting a blowout win, but thought there was very little chance of an upset. Denver's offense is too good to only score 12 points.
That offense with inexperienced Osweiler is not that good.
It's official now: New England is in the playoffs.
Jags > Falcons
Way to beat Indy
Update: Miami's loss to the Giants gave New England the AFC East title.

That game was awesome. I am still nervous about Atlanta's offense because Jacksonville has a bad defense, but they showed us the game next week is winnable.

Miss Jag - I've been telling you this since the my were 5-0....the Falcons are complete trash. They are the softest team in the league. They're 1-7 since then. The Jags will win that game (unless they beat themselves).
I mean....if Ted Ginn can catch two bombs in the first quarter then that should tell you all you need to know about their D. Bortles will carve them up.

That does not tell me anything about the Falcons defense. It is a four-quarter game. I did not watch any of it. What worries me is Jacksonville's defense, which can't rush the passer even if his OL is terrible. Also, the Jaguars have been known to struggle against teams with losing records - look at the Chargers game, for example. The Jaguars do not play the way they are capable of playing every week. That's all I will say in this thread because we have a couple others in the Jaguars forum to discuss it.
Now that your Panthers have a playoff bye, are you concerned about Arizona stealing the #1 seed with a couple more wins?
Quote:Jax will win at home
I really hope so, but it will not be easy if we do. Unfortunately we also have to win two road games to get in the playoffs and that will not be easy either.
Does anyone have predictions for who will be the next team to clinch something?

New England Patriots
Already clinched: AFC East title
First-round bye: Win
and Broncos loss
Cincinnati Bengals
AFC North title: Win

or Jets loss
or Chiefs loss
Denver Broncos
AFC West title: Win
and Chiefs loss
Playoff spot: Win
Carolina Panthers

Home field advantage: Win
and Cardinals loss
Arizona Cardinals
Already clinched: Playoff spot
NFC West title: Win

Arizona can't steal the #1 seed with a few more wins. It's going to take two more wins and two Panthers losses.
And that ain't happening.
Tampa Bay's loss made life much easier for Minnesota and Seattle, who needed it in any Week 15 playoff scenario. I heard losing that night would eliminate the Buccaneers, but NFL.com has them listed as the #11 seed.
The Cowboys are out mathematically with a loss to the Jets Sunday.
if Cleveland and Chicago win...the Bucs, Rams and nfc east are still alive.
the nfl likes many teams to be eligible in week 17

The NFC is alive until Week 17. The NFL designed its schedule so that all 16 finales are division matchups every year.

I'm sorry but you are wrong.
If Seattle wins,6 teams are eliminated and Seattle won't have to win their last 2 games.
That would be 2 useless weeks of football.
KC and Seattle have to lose

Where did you get the idea more teams being eliminated this week guarantees no NFC games will mean anything after that? You obviously are not paying any attention to the East, North, and West divisions. It is not just about elimination, but playoff seeding and division titles.

I just gave specific details. If KC and Seattle win Sunday,it eliminates a majority of teams before week 16 and makes many games unimportant to the playoff race for the last 2 weeks.
I know because I played with the espn playoff machine and saw all the variables

I just said games that affect the playoff seeds are in no way meaningless. So it makes no sense to say
all NFC games are meaningless in the last two weeks.
