Keep an eye on Jack Conklin this Saturday night.  At 6' 6" and 320 pounds he's a pure run blocker that moved the OSU DLine.  In looking at the Jags failed to run the ball 4x in a row (on 2 separate occasions) to get 1 yard, could this guy be our 1st rounder if we're selecting with pick 10+

Yes, power running game.  Then draft a power/speed combo one cut hit the hole running back as the feature back, elliott or henry.  Put our current dancing, go down after 1st contact back as the backup change of pace back.

I got the name wrong in the title (LOL) as I was pre-coffee and going off of memory from the OSU game.  Wallbash

Nevertheless, I'd like to see us establish a Dallas type Oline and fix the DLine in free agency (if possible).  Running the ball alone can fix a part of the defense just by time of possession.
Can he pass block?

Do you mean Joekel's strength coming out of college?

Yes, his extreme strength is run block and needs a little work w/ pass blocking.
Is he nasty? That's important.  :verymad:  :verymad:  :verymad:

Oh yeah he is. From what I've heard, he hasn't washed his shorts in weeks.

Niiiiceeeee!!

Do the right thing Dave!
Conklin is certainly a possibility if the Jaguars win a few more games and pick from 10-15. I like the idea of having a "nasty" left tackle who is an excellent run blocker. Add him to Linder, Cann and Parnell and the running game would become very strong. In addition, it would help Bortles and the passing game for the obvious reasons. That being said, I would still prefer a pass rusher as this is the team's greatest weakness. Ogbah could possibly be on the board, depending on his post-season workouts. If he is, that would be my pick. He and Fowler would be major upgrades. In a best-case scenario, the Jags first get a free safety in free agency - ideally Gipson from Cleveland. The 1st 3 rounds of the draft would be:

1. Ogbah

2. Cravens- Probably will be gone, but he and Telvin would be great combo.

3. Left Tackle- Compete with Joeckel at start of year. This appears to be a deep position for this draft class.

As unlikely as all of these things happening is, I would love to see it happen. These additions, added to the current roster, would make the Jaguars a legitimate playoff contender in an improving AFC South next year.

Not sure what you mean by that first sentence, but I ain't trying to make a pitch for Joekel. It was an honest quesiton.

They will give Yeldon another two years or more. I think we would take Dalvin Cook if he was available in 2017 just cause it would be to good to pass up, but other then that I think we will see Yeldon as are feature back for the next 2 seasons at least.
