That would be nice to see. The arrow is noticeable in an upward movement on large swaths of the team. Unfortunately the lines are still questionable. The remainder of this season is to see if the coaching staff can improve and make their case. I highly doubt they can do it but we will see what we see.

I agree.. The next hurdle is to become more proficient in the red zone. We do pretty damned well between the 20's and just need to stop settling for 3...
The playoff hope was a teal cloud of illusion. This team is not capable of making the playoffs; even with such a horrid division. The colts are playing much better and the texans are as well. We on the other hand are making the same mistakes we've been making all year long; costing us valuable wins. Next year can definitely be a year to be more optimistic. This year is simply to get more experience under the belt for our youngins.

I still maintain a glimmer of hope that the Jaguars can repeat what they did in '96 when they had the same 4-7 record by winning out and making the Playoffs. It's never likely for this to happen, but the Jaguars are good enough to win each of their remaining games. They just have to focus and not shoot themselves in the foot like they're so prone to doing, and they absolutely have to fix their red zone issues on both sides of the ball this week.
SImply put, win out and the Jaguars are in the playoffs. It's not mathematically guaranteed, but it should happen. Lose a game, and maybe their still in provided the game is against the Saints or Falcons. They certainly can't lose a division game.
At this point it seems a long shot, but beat the Titans on the road and the Colts at home, and suddenly everything looks bright again. They absolutely have to get to 6-7 (do this much and Gus' job is safe), then at least beat either the Saints or Falcons, and then beat the Texans in Houston. That last game looms looks especially tough right now, but things might change between now and then.
I agree, win the last 5 and they should make the playoffs. Not expecting it to happen but until they lose another game it's still on the table.

Awe. the eternal optimism of the Jaguar fanbase. It's really an endearing thing. I just don't see how it happens, we've have to have so many things break our way to win the next months worth of games... I guess it could happen though.
I don't feel confident that we can beat the tacks on the road though... I just don't see how we stop them from scoring 30 points.

I think Jags games this year have been great entertainment. Maybe read some children's books if you always need that positive ending to enjoy?

I honestly thought I was the only one that felt this way. According to the espn playoff machine, we can still lose one more game and still make the playoffs...with a lot of help.
But we are still in the hunt mathematically.
I think 4-7 is a place many thought we'd be at this point, and we were teased with playoffs. We keep suspending reality, which is we are a young, somewhat talented team with no cohesion or a pass rush. We don't ever seem to put it ALL together on sunday. I can hardly remember the last complete game we had where all 3 phases show up. 11-32 and a very, very inexperienced(putting it lightly) coach and poor game management lands us here. If we somehow land a pash rush and a FS I really think we can win 8-10 games despite the coach. Yeldon will grow, as will the Allens and Bortles. Next year is teh big one, if we keep Gus its all or notrhing for Gus and Dave. I hope we turn it around. Honestly sick and tiref of the losing.

I could care less if we win.lose to this point. Our chances are so slim I would rather get 1 more top 10 pick for Dave and hope we land 2 top 10 pass rushers in consecutive years. Find a FS and some corner depth and look out.

This is what bothers a lot of us that are critical of Bradley. This entire season, after the Brady suspension was dropped, broke exactly right for the Jaguars. We had just enough talent to pull out wins in October and November. But mental mistakes, unprepared game play, mismanaged clock and game situations, and the lack of any ability to adjust week in and week out damned this team. When we look back on this season, I think it becomes clear that the team was let down by inept overall coaching.

I usually like some of the stuff you write, but I just emphatically disagree with this. The lack of a true head coach that knows how to get the best out of players and how to put the right players in the best spot to be successful is the reason we are not leading this abysmal division RIGHT NOW.

I don't for a minute doubt that you believe in what you're saying. You 100 posts on this subject attest to that. But I find it interesting that you never seem to factor in the skill level of the players or their at times inept play.
If the field goals were made, if the interceptions weren't made, if there was a pass rush, if there was a play-maker in the secondary - all this would be moot. Would it still be "Bradley is inept" or would it be "Bradley has really done a nice job with a thin roster"?
