Maybe. Broncos might try to force him back just because he's Peyton Manning. At least he's got a good coaching career ahead. :teehee:

Aye I'll take him as a OC in a heartbeat

Walter Payton?

This reminds me of the Cardale Jones craze. Brock Osweiler had no career starts at the time people started saying Denver should give him the reins (pun intended). Like Jones, Osweiler only replaced the starter because of a severe injury. If Osweiler was the starter because of on-field performance, that change would have happened weeks ago.
Now I am not saying Osweiler sucks. Obviously he is a good quarterback in Gary Kubiak's system. But no matter how good a quarterback is, nobody should judge him based on only 10 quarters.

Peyton Manning is done. I won't say that it's the end of his career... he can be a good backup, but it's unlikely.

I'm just curious JDub, how many quarters do you believe to be the threshold to judge a QB? And would you consider the performance of said QB during the week in practice to be of any significance?

I can't imagine him accepting a backup role. If he's healthy and not starting, he'll retire.

This is nothing like the Jones situation, college Is a complete different discussion. Brock was a good qb coming out of college and was labeled as a guy that would need some grooming before starting, which he has been doing for the last 3 and a half years under one of the greatest qbs of all time. While I agree u can't really say too much about a guy after only 2 starts, but Brock did a very good job, he also beat the patriots. On top of that peyton has had a terrible year and his arm looks very weak, looks like every throw is a lob pass. Denver also wants to do wats best for the future so why not continue to play your young qb. I do question how Brock will do in the play offs though, peyton probably sounds like a better option at this point only because of his playoff experience.

He is going to Houston and will have us scrounging for wildcard table scraps for the next 10 years.

And instead of sticking with Jones they went back to the old guy. How'd that work out for them this year?

Gary Kubiak and Brock Osweiler praised Peyton Manning for his help that resulted in the Broncos OT win over the Patriots.

I can't imagine any quarterback retiring if he is healthy and wants to play. Peyton Manning's team is a virtual lock for the AFC play. What I hope will happen Manning starts again as soon as his foot is ready, then play the game his way so people can see the young Peyton Manning. He needs to retire with a standing ovation from Colts and Broncos fans before telling everyone goodbye including the number 18. What else would be a better way to send one of the all-time best NFL players off to the sunset? Very simple: taking pictures of him scoring his last touchdown if you can do it.

Don't forget the running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends stepped up and did their jobs most of the night. There were a few crucial errors like a missed FGA

It was a great team comeback by the Broncos. That much more considering the weather conditions in Denver.
One thing that seems near certain is Von Miller is headed for a HUGE payday.

I never heard the weather affects salaries, but taking advantage of the snow obviously can't hurt.

I think you misread what I mentioned.
Having said that, Von Miller is a differential player regardless of weather conditions or playing surface in general.

It will be very hard for any team pry Von Miller out of Denver. Compensation is two first round draft picks if they slap the franchise tag on him.

The question is will the Broncos have the flexibility to use the Franchise Tag on Von Miller if necessary?

On the field is very near the end. But starting a coaching career if he chooses, I see him as a great qb coach.
