Iowa earned my respect tonight they are for real. Was a great game and Iowa deserves a good bowl game

I think you got the teams mixed up. Iowa did almost nothing in the third quarter and let MSU score on a 9-minute, 22 play drive. Except for the 85-yard touchdown, what was so impressive for the guys wearing black jerseys?

There defense played hard,I mean they lost by 3 to a pretty good MSU team. I expected them to get killed,but they played really hard and are an all effort team. Not to take away anything from MSU but I already knew they were good.

I expected it to be a close game, but had no point margin predictions.

 

No doubt the defense played hard. They almost stopped MSU on the touchdown run. But 13 points is not good for the Big Ten's only undefeated team.

Those last 7/8 plays were awesome both teams laid it all out on the line. Ya the offense for Iowa was blah had that one long TD pass but other than that didn't do pretty much anything the whole 2nd half

It was obvious both teams were giving their best efforts. Nobody gave up on a single play. Unfortunately for Iowa there was not enough talent to go along with the effort, something Michigan State does have. MSU earned it.

 

Of course, being a Buckeyes fan, I am not happy about it. I was rooting for Iowa just because MSU was the team that knocked Ohio State out of that game. Next I want Iowa to lose its playoff game (assuming they get in).

I don't agree. Iowa should've won that one I think. They had a really good drive in the 1st half that should've been a TD. It ended up being a FLUKE INT for MSU (the ball was basically caught by Iowa in the end zone, but it got loose and rolled off a MSU players back into the hands of another Spartan). MSU was REALLY lucky there.


You know,, that play looked alot like the Chargers "challenge" play last week, we're the ball rolled off a players back, the defender picked it up. Fortunately for the Jags, it was not an INT. Unfortunately for Iowa, this play was an INT that turned away a TD.

You know,, that play looked a lot like the Chargers "challenge" play last week, where the ball rolled off a players back, the defender picked it up. Fortunately for the Jags, it was not an INT. Unfortunately for Iowa, this play was an INT that turned away a TD.

 

I missed the entire first half to watch the ACC game. In hindsight it would have been better not to change channels.

I thought it was a good game. MSU defense has looked very strong. I think that's why Iowa had low scoring (othere than the INT in the end zone that turned away both a TD or even a FG).


MSU defense played very well against Ohio State also. So, I don't think it was just a case of Iowa's offense not being good.
