If the 2016 draft was held tomorrow, we would have the #9 pick, according to Lance Zierlein. That is right behind the Eagles. Here is what he wrote about us:
Quote:9. Jacksonville Jaguars
2015 record: 4-7 (.508)
Top need: Center
Other needs: Cornerback, safety
Senior prospects at positional needs: Center: Nick Martin (Notre Dame), Mike Matthews (Texas A&M); CB: Maurice Canady (Virginia), Danzel McDaniel (Kansas State), Will Redmond (Mississippi State); Safety: Deon Bush (Miami), Jeremy Cash (Duke), Kevin Byard (Middle Tennessee State).
Analysis: Provided Dante Fowler comes back at 100 percent, he'll help the Jaguars' pass rush, but they must add more talent and competition for those starting secondary spots. Jacksonville wants to be a better running team, and finding the right fit at center can go a long way in that quest.
I want more pass rushers, you can never have too many. Just fowler scares me. We need depth.

We can get a pass rusher, but the back end of our defense still needs upgrades.

How do you feel the Jaguars did in this last draft based on stats so far?
I mean having Fowler get injured before even playing in one preseason game was a huge blow but GM Dave Caldwell wouldve had not known that would occur...
I think this is the year we trade up. I've been saying it for awhile. Get the best defensive pass rusher on the board (Bosa) and terrorize the league.
Since that won't be the case, I'd take Deforest Buckner or Ogbah in the top 10. Get people that can get to the QB

I think they did quite well, and I wasn't one that thoroughly enjoyed our draft when it happened. I liked the positions we addressed, but I had us going at it a different way. I was on the Cooper bandwagon for the 1st. I was never sold on Fowler. I hope he proves me wrong. Wanted to address CB with Darby in the 2nd, RB 3rd with Coleman, OG 4th with Jackson.

Yeah, this is the year I could see Dave going all in. I would love to see Bosa on this team.
With Marks coming off back to back injuries and getting up there, we could move Odrik back to the 3 tech and then draft a big end. A line up of Fowler, Marks/Odrik, Miller, and Bosa would be nasty.

Center is our biggest need??
Center is a need, but not one of our biggest. Wiz is average at best. The only way he gets resigned is if there is no other option.

If we go pass rusher in the first, I want Joey Bosa. Unfortunately he seems to be the favorite for #1 overall, which would make a trade way too expensive. That is why it makes more sense to talk about Ogbah.

I was surprised to see that one. No doubt we need an upgrade there, but how is that a bigger problem than safety and cornerback?
