Looks like we are on the verge of a monster defense, which gives us a legit chance this season.

 

BUUUUT.

 

We've learned we can't rely on Bortles.  This has been discussed ad naseum, but not the rumors are flying with not QB talk, yet.  We'd be wasting tens of millions of dollars if he flops again and we turn the keys over to Henne.  Not to mention the whole no competition factor for BB.

 

So, FA is almost here.  We HAVE to pick up somebody, right?  We need a veteran and can at least manage a game and make a throw or two in the clutch. 

 

I don't trust Henne, I haven't seen anything out of Allen to trust him yet, and I don't trust this rookie class.  They've got to sign someone.  Cutler, Foles, Kap... Someone.

 

Not a lot to choose from but it's a glaring whole right now if FA.

But don't expect us in the run.

We have to sign someone, IMO.

Draft. Peterman or Webb 

Cutler is garbage, and Romo is going to be very expensive for likely very little play.

Sometimes the best move in FA is to not sign anyone. That's the case with the QBs this year. I agree with you about the QB situation. But nothing can be done. Maybe they draft someone with their first or second round pick.

Call me crazy but I think Jerod Evans would be a great value pick to develop.

 

I don't see "help on the way" this season.

He's in the 2018 Draft or her, because equality

Nowhere to be found.


Our absolute peak is last years texans, but the division is going to be even better between the titans getting two first rounders + FAs and the Texans getting a new QB somewhere. Im not excited about any of this cause were going 6-10 at best.

I think the Texans might be fine starting Savage, at least to where he could get them in the playoffs again.

I know it may be lipstick on a pig, but I'd rather Foles as a backup than Henne.

Chad Henne is the future of the franchise with his laser rocket arm. 

 

No but really... what if we took a chance on Cutler. he's a has been but that's better than a never was (Bortles). Maybe all Culter needs is a change of scenery, if not, it's only a year or 2.

Problem I have with Cutler is he shares Blake's biggest weakness, INTs.  If Blake goes down in flames, we need someone who will take care of the ball, and, well, be able to throw for a first down or two, unlike Henne has shown!

Qb coming in the draft! Maybe even with our first pick!
