Quote:So what? If Shad Khan says Gus Bradley will not be fired, the topic should be dead.

As will my desire to buy season tickets again next year.
JW gonna JDub.

I think that was in response to this season.

Quote:Why does anybody still think we will get a new coaching staff next year? Shad Khan has always said Gus Bradley has zero chance of getting fired. Many threads about this issue already exist so nobody should be mentioning it in threads about anything else.

There is no reason to keep Allen Hurns on the sideline when he is physically able to play and cleared by doctors. Anyone who thinks this is a wasted season has not watched us play.

It's kind of ridiculous how often you say stuff like this. Just stop, you're not the message board police.
Quote:IR him until next year.

This.
Quote:It wouldn't surprise me if they do. They way they took every precaution to brace his neck and seeing how his legs were not moving as he was carted off, I was scared he might have had a spinal or neck injury. He really slammed his head hard on the turf. When they said it was a concussion I felt a sigh of relief, but a serious concussion could take a few weeks to overcome.

It was recently determined that Frank Gifford suffered from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy from having banged his head too much while playing football, and this is an increasing fear for all football players. When you see something like this you have wonder just how much of an effect on the brain these hits have.

I think players these days know the risk. It is the only thing they are good at, so it isn't like they can just quit football and become accountants or doctors.

As more and more information comes out, less and less parents are going to allow their kids to play football and in 30 years time, the NFL may not even exist.
It sucks he won't get to 1,000 yards. I hope he gets better. We're going to need him next year when we make the playoffs.
Quote:He plays great every week. I think he would have caught the ball on that play because it rolled over him.

He caught it in his dreams because he was knocked out.
Quote:We still have five games left. That is enough for Allen Hurns to come back for the Saints or Texans. Of course I expect him to miss the Titans game and probably the Colts too.
He will probably miss next week for sure I would think...

We can play the "if" game forever, but Khan has said no such thing. He's only said that Gus won't be fired during the season.

The thing is they told the owner that they had to gut the roster and that by doing that the rebuilding process would take a few years (meaning this season when Gus said the roster is built that will own the AFC South), but sadly he failed to get more than four wins (3 if you go by the NFL that the Ravens shouldve won) this season with five games remaining can he win out?

Either way it would appear at least so far that the owner is all in and is most likely going to give HC Gus Bradley another year to prove himself because GM Dave Caldwell feels that is his guy, and the owner trusts GM Dave Caldwells choice.

If you truly feel this way, sad for you mate. They have college education and most are more rounded than you may imagine. Are you only good at what you do for a living? Limited scope of thinking...

Spoken like a true...
Not good, IR him until next year and take no chances..

I'm not sure why jokes aren't allowed, it's not like they're going to be to the detriment of Hurns' recovery..

Our very nature as humans, for the most-part, is to make light of situations. If you can't do that then it's a long and stressful life.

I know what I'd prefer.

It doesn't matter how I feel, it is a fact. 95% of these guys' "college education" couldn't land them a decent job these days.
Gross generalization

Non factual

Unintelligible

Jokes are allowed, but that does not make it right to say something funny about a player getting hurt. If you hit your head on the floor like that and could not move, would you think falling down was funny?

Yes, I would in actual fact. This scenario has happened to me and I don't take myself too seriously.

This allows me to be able to laugh at myself and enjoy life.
I am trying to think of a single player in Jags history with more heart, skill, and talent than Allen Hurns.  He is among the most inspirational players this organization has ever seen.  He was in my thoughts all evening, and I CHEERED as loudly as any last second victory to hear he was released from the hospital.  Never was able to see the actual play - NFL network was too busy worrying about Gronk's booboo..   I was as worried as I have been about any player on any team in a very long time.  Thank Providence he still has movement, even if he was to never play again.

Making a joke about it is unconscionable..  but typical of that poster.   May his heartlessness return to him ten-fold.

If I can just clear up, from my point-of-view, I'm not necessarily saying that jokes of that nature are needed, I'm just saying that I personally am not offended by them, and jokes about certain unfortunate events have helped me personally through some tough times.

Especially at work with some of the things I see.

I also understand that some people are offended by them, and some are downright disgusted by them, we are all human beings and different things make different people tick.

I'm sorry if anyone thought my comment of 'I'm not sure why jokes aren't allowed' was in bad taste, it wasn't.. I can assure you I'm not on here for a hard time, or to make others have a hard time. I'm on here because I love the Jags and I love the banter..
