Quote:my advice... stay in Hawaii. you're already in paradise.

It's not as great as people think here, I mean I love it, it's home... but all there is are beaches here, great place to retire but nothing to do, gets very boring....
Quote:I live in Southern California and am waiting to go to my first home game. Actually, almost moved to Jax at one point. Congrats on being able to get to go.

Thanks. Wow almost moved, that's team dedication lol.

Nice so ur goin to Schofield. Lmk man, I can show u the island. They tell u about of lies in the briefing, I used to work on base (carpentry). They give u a tourist look at oahu, i can show u the local hotstops.
Portland is area that could use an NFL team. Natural rivalry with Seahawks and Niners, I would think.

I'll definitely take you up on that offer!

There's no real way to get a stadium built in Portland. For starters, there's nowhere to really put one, and then there's the funding question.

im back in Portland now

Could you imagine a nfl team in Portland? They would be the Portland Hipsters. Their mascot would wear a scarf, thick framed glasses, a flannel shirt and skinny jeans. Oh and he would have a well groomed mustache. I'm sure the stadium would be packed the first home game but after that no one would show up because they would have realized that it was too "mainstream" to attend football games.

Disclaimer: for all you Portlandiers and Hipsters, I say all that in jest.
You can purchase tickets from Jaguars.com  You can call a Rep (they are very cool and easy to work with), IM, or purchase online through the site with TicketMaster.  IF....we were to make the playoffs, they also have re-sale seats available.  As for Game day or a visit, i posted this before:

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Chill out or Night out – Go to Jax beach.  Sun, restaurants, bars and beach type shops.

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Explore – Drive down A1A.  Drive up Ponte Vedra Blvd if you dare.

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Shop – Go to the Town Center

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Travel – Take in St Augustine

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Golf – TPC Sawgrass or WGV (World Gold Village)

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">PreGame – Teal Town/Game Day.  Opens at 10, tons of free stuff. Music beer food games.  Great for kids too.  Go early.  Assuming they will do the Prowl again this year - Good 1 time experience.  It’s at the Sea Best Zone.  Cool to see players walk in but you miss the introductions onto the field which is cool too.
Quote:If you are flying all the way from Hawaii you may want to rent a car and add Orlando to your trip. Usually in the winter the lines for the rides are shorter and the prices might be a bit better.

Yeah I second this. The thing I miss about Jax is its close proximity to other areas. If you are making a trip all the way from Hawaii, might as well hit the nearby tourist spots like St. Augustine and Orlando.
