I did not realize that, up until last night's game, we were #1 in the entire NFL in per-carry run defense.   We were allowing the least yards per carry.

Can't pressure the passer, but we can sure stop the run.

Where did you get this information from?

YPC is not nearly as important as total  yards.

The personnel has a bit to do with both, we basically have a 3 tackle line that can stop the run with size but can't get to the passer because of size.
Sure it is, just cause they ran for 300 yards but needed 90 carries really says something about how tyson, marks, miller have been doing up front.

Once again you shine through.

YPC shows that they don't gain as much ground per rush.

If total yards is really high, it is likely the YPC is going to be high.

No team is going to run it 60 times for 180 yards.

Anything less than 100 yards is usually considered pretty good.

But.. yards per game we're 7th

YPC we're 1st

total yards on the season we're 14th

Goal line run D is not so great, allowing (tied for) 4th most rushing TDs

we also have the 7th MOST rush attempts against us -- this is skewed up due to us being behind often, and in the case of the Pats by a lot early.

Our run D is VERY VERY good. Miller has a lot to do with it.
