Quote:I know he's hurt but man it would be epic if he played and broke this record but its in doubt now.

NFL.com now reports he had the injury all season and his upcoming appointment was already scheduled. Also, don't forget he was questionable with a foot injury last week. He will be fine.

Quote:It has to be consecutive games. Also, you cannot really be a "record chaser" when Hurns is barely HALFWAY to Jerry Rice's record. I know even that has not been done in a few seasons, but consider he has to duplicate the past 7 weeks to break the record. It does also cause you realize just how good Jerry Rice was.

Yes you can. Seven games is only until next September (assuming we miss the playoffs). Allen Hurns can at least chase the franchise record if not that one.

I would love to see one of our guys pass Dez Bryant, who has been getting a lot of deserved hate lately.

Still love this.

Jerry Rice scored 13 TD's in a row????  Holy hell.

Me too. How could you not love the first touchdown of his career?

The first touchdown Blake Bortles threw was awesome too. That was when I realized Allen Hurns was going to be special.

And what a player he is!

I read last year if the 2014 draft was redone, he would have been a third round pick. I would have picked him in the second!

Really? I know fans for other teams, both here and in the US who really admire him and would like him at their team.
It hurt his stock that last year was one of the best WR drafts ever. Glad we got him. His game reminds me of Rice. Not that I'm saying he is as good. But the dude isn't huge, he isn't a blazer or a high jumper..he just makes the play. His hands are seriously the only knock and they are a lot better now that he has his confidence up

But there are 7 rounds in the draft. Wide receivers who are not nearly as good were drafted. I am not buying that argument.

I never thought confidence was the issue last year. He was a rookie playing with a rookie quarterback.
Quote:Kind of surprised Moss didn't break JR's record in 07

He did break JR's single season TD record that year with 23.
Dude is a straight up baller!

So what I read about Jerry Rice owning the record at 13 games was wrong?
Quote:The media may not be respecting us as a team yet, but they are loving the best players on our roster! How in the world did this guy not get drafted?

Not to mention the punishment Hurns took on blocking for Allen Robinson and others during the game.  He's a tough guy with great character.. and honestly better than AR15 (but its really close they have different talents in that AR15 is great pushing off of the press like he did in PennState & nobody is going to jump higher than AR15 with the 50/50 advantage going his way)... but Allen Hurns is more like the Jerry Rice or TO over the middle takes the punishing hit and then another hit and still gets into the endzone (like he did week 1 in his rookie year for example).. tough to tackle & fast in space.

One of my favorite catches of his too... but AR15 move against Revis last week was nice too..

Hurns best catch was the previous week diving in the corner of the end zone...

The one at Wembley?... I was there, it was an epic catch! Made sweeter by us having Bills fans right next to us!
Yep that is the one...

He keeps catching TDs each week despite being injured

this weeks.. TD

Now they are saying he is questionable for Thursday, but HC Gus Bradley said he's not worried about it...
Actually the best catch he ever made was not a touchdown. It was in Blake's first start. Hurns juggled the ball and tipped it to himself for a first down.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, it's the first time since 2012 that someone has caught a TD pass in seven consecutive games. A.J. Green caught a TD pass in nine games in a row and Dez Bryant caught one in seven games in a row that season. It is also the longest streak in the NFL by anyone this season- ESPN.com

Hopefully WR Allen Hurns is healthy and can play this Thursday as the team really needs him & if he does it would be nice if he got a TD & one the following week to tie AJ Green (and finally get him the respect he deserves in the NFL)!

lets keep that streak alive.  I still say he looks like an Anquan Boldin Keenan McCardell mixture.
