I don't think Carson is getting the votes becuae of establishment positions. I think he's he's getting the same votes that had Santorums and Huckabee leading when they were.

I don't know that Santorum or Huckabee ever had the level of support that would be needed to prop Carson up. I think his support is largely the result of an anti-Trump movement in which supporters of flailing Republican candidates threw their votes his way to keep Trump from getting the nomination.
After seeing who the clown is in the white house, he may be on to something.
