They should draft nine pass rushers, regardless of position.

Quote:Apparently, you're not the only one that thought Cyp had a good game against the Jets...  I might need to go back and re-watch the D.
To clarify, I was referring mostly to his run support.

I saw no plays where he had bad angles and I wondered where in the heck was he going.

That was the way I expected him to play when he was drafted.

I do remember at least one pass defended for sure....maybe a couple.  I thought he had a strong game.  I thought the other whipping boy Joeckel had a pretty good game too.
Dare i say it...

Luke played lights out.

Thank goodness.

Still think Ramsey makes the biggest difference and as a rookie, a safety can catch on pretty quick.

Depending where the jags draft I like Ramsey, vh3, Nkemdiche, and Jaylon Smith.

I think bosa winds up going #1 whether he is worth it or not and trading up is out of the question.

is Ramsey a play maker? Everytime i watch the Noles nothing really stands out to me. Hargreaves makes game changing plays about every other game. I want to see some big plays from Ramsey before i draft a safety top 5

Ramsay is a baller. You're asking for it with your username. You kind of risk derailing this thread with another FSU v UF argument. I'd definitely go Hargreaves over Ramsay, but I'm not sad about having either
So of all you guys saying pick Bosa.

What do you do with Fowler in 2016? Move him to OTTO then move him to the line in lightning package?

You would HAVE to start both right?

Bosa won't be the pick. Even if he was available.

You are allowed to have two pass rushers on the field at the same time.
BADP

Best available defensive playmaker
Fingers crossed for Bosa..

Sounds horrible. Do not like.

You keep rotating players all along the D-Line given the situation and by limiting their snaps you're keeping them fresh throughout the entire game. Here's a theoretical breakdown of snaps by position for the 2016 season that I think could work.

LEO: Fowler 50%, Decent free agent pickup 40%, Davis/Skuta/Smith 10%

DT: Miller 50%, Jones 25%, Davis 25%

DT: Marks 60%, Odrick 20%, Bennett 20%

DE: Bosa 60%, Odrick 40%

Sure someone like Odrick or Bosa won't technically be the starter, but they'll be playing fairly even snaps overall.
Trade back, acquire more picks. This team has no depth. The starters are constantly getting beat by backups on other teams.

Right end: Fowler

DT: Marks

DT: Miller

Left end: Bosa

Right? Bosa>Odrick so Odrick will get about 35 percent of the snaps. We need guys that can disrupt the QB. So a lot is riding on Fowler/Bosa
I'd be cool with starting Bosa at LEO and Fowler at OTTO and then having Fowler put his hand in the dirt on 3rd downs.
Every pick for defense.

The way Bosa has been playing this year, the Jags might get him in the 2nd round. Ramsey would be my pick in the first. He is a true playmaker at a position of great need. He also has the flexibility of being able to play cornerback if one of the starters gets injured.

Draft Rounds:

1. BAP Defense

2. BAP Defense

3. BAP Defense or O-Line

4. BAP Defense or O-Line

5. BAP Defense or O-line

6. BAP Defense or O-line

-Go heavy on the defense,, particularly rounds 1 and 2.

-Pick up some O-line depth/competition with a pick or two somewhere in rounds 3-6 (especially if there's a really good value pick in one of those rounds).

Defensive position priorities:

Pass Rush

FS/SS

LB

CB

But, if there's a solid BAP Defensive Player available at a position that's already filled with a "solid" player,, draft that BAP Defensive guy anyway. Upgrade the position, and create excellent depth.
