Quote:The only thing that makes this worse is when a Mularkey let tacks team beats us...

Oh god it never clicked in my head that this was a possibility.
Things are pointing up at the most important position.  Despite a line that is getting him hurried and harassed, Bortles was poised to throw for 400 yards.  That line doesn't run block very well either.

I did get a chuckle out of Gabbert win and Tacks victory.  I mean of course that was going to happen.  We are team groundhog.  Every week we get about the same 4 to 5 completely head scratching plays that turn the game.  Progress is this year being competitive.  This team just can't close the deal.

I don't see how this gets pinned on Bradley. Fumbled punt. Bad fumble by Bortles. Worse INT by Bortles on the last drive. Good challenge by Bradley which should have overturned the play.

But yeah, we gotta blame this on Bradley.
Like AM said in OP....I was really, wildly  hopeful these guys would respond to the opportunity handed to them.

All rested and fresh and just off a win before the bye.

I thought they had found they could pull together and win in a close game.

It's that intangible that makes or breaks a team.

But nope, they found a new way to lose ....if its not the kicker missing (good job btw Myers), its a returner dropping the dang ball,

The D has a decent game (except not getting turnovers like previous game) our O decides to become dysfunctional.....hitting the stats like crazy but failing to come up with the W.

I bet Marks had plenty to say in the locker room.

I'm so bummed right now.....rather than expect to have a chance in the division....I expect we're done.

That way the Jags will no longer disappoint me.

To add about coaches....they set the tone, the atmosphere, and the attitude of the team. The Jags have been fed the line "wins will come" . Well in the nFL......the wins don't just "come" you have to fight for them. Every play, every quarter, every half and every game.

I'm afraid it's too late for this coach and staff to change their tune and hence our team. He's done it too long.

This just in....Bradley Responsible for global warming, film at 11.....
Quote:But be honest:

When you heard that Mularkey was taking over for the tacks, and Gabbert was the starter in San Francisco:  Did you not feel as though we were going to be better off than those 2 teams?

Heck we may still be...  But you can't honestly sit there and tell me that you still felt that the tacks and 49ers were better off this week then we were...  I mean, seriously, did you not think that we would at least look better than those 2 teams this week?  And even the clots?

I remember a particular thread that listed all of the Jaguars remaining opponents and their terrible records and made it seem like the Jaguars had a great shot at the playoffs.  Problem is that the Jaguars are as bad as most of these teams.  If they are better than the Titans or 49ers, it isn't by much.
We believe in victory?

Also Zach Miller with a game winning TD

My eyes bugged out when I realized it was our Zach Miller and not the other Zach Miller. Had no idea he was still in football.

There was some bad officiating, some mistakes, but the defense just flat out stinks.

The defense? The defense worked their tails off. (from Ozone's Day after takeaways)

Three of four Jets touchdowns came on drives of 51, 32 and 25 yards after a long kickoff return and two Jaguars turnovers. Most notable was the performance against running back Chris Ivory. According to Elias Sports Bureau, Ivory’s 26 yards were the fewest ever for a back with 23 or more carries, an effort that moved the Jaguars to seventh in the NFL in run defense

Although the defense struggled at times (especially early, giving up a few 3rd and longs), They actually played very solid,, and were dynamic against the run.

The Jags offense just kept turning it over and putting the defense on short fields,, while stalling their own drives at the same time.

That's just too much for this defense to overcome.

Stop the offensive turnovers,, this team starts winning more games (they would've beat NYJ).
