I heard that they were letting a little of the nickel of the Patriots quarters so they wouldn't bounce on the ground so hard.

I always wondered why teams almost always want to kick off in the first half. Why does it matter?

Would much rather recieve to start the second half. If you get the ball anytime around the end of the first half, you have the chance to score right before halftime and then come out and score immediately to open the second half. That's a huge momentum builder. More so than scoring on the opening possession.

One can't help but to think that the Pats franchise is headed for an O'doyle rules outcome one of these decades.
