There's not much room for error, and a bad week can wipe you out.
I have had an 0 fer week, and IIRC a few others have, too. Nobody is having a great picking season yet, based upon what I recall from the standings.

Tennessee @ New Orleans - I don't think New Orleans Offense is quite that good, and Tennessee isn't all that bad but the Saints aren't exactly a squad that I would want to face right now, especially while Mularkey is in the process of completely handcuffing Mariota so that he learns to never ever throw any pass that has the slightest chance of ever being intercepted. And also makes him learn a 400 page playbook. Of course, Mariota probably won't even play in this game so this may be a moot point. Anyway, New Orleans wins this one in the dome.
Did anyone see this coming?! I didn't. LOSS
Jacksonville @ New York (J) - I think a lot of Todd Bowles and what he has going on with Gang Green. I've never been a Jets fan so it's really doesn't mean a lot to me but it seems as if he is very organized and has his squad all working towards the same goal. While their Offense is vulnerable with questions along the Offensive Line, the Quarterback, and a seeming dearth of Pass Catchers, I think they lean heavily on Chris Ivory and salt this one away. However, I do reserve the right to come back and change my mind on this because it really is a winnable game for Gus and Co
.
Ugh. Will this team please hurry up and mature? It's so hard watching these guy trying to figure out how to win. They'll get there eventually but how long is it gonna take? Win
Denver @ Indianapolis - Nope. Sorry Indy fans. I don't care if Luck's entire body is shot up with Cortisone for this game, I just don't see how he's beating that Denver Defense. Wade Phillips is a heck of a Defensive coach and he's coming for ya. Not to mention the fact that Peyton is probably out for blood in order to sustain his cyborgian body. Denver wins this one going away and just might mean the death of Pagano in the aftermath.
And here I thought the Tennessee game was a lock. Loss.

If they can do something about Special teams and nothing else, this team would be better.
Special teams cost this team 3 winnable games this year.
Had special teams performed just average-not great not horrible-against Indy (the missed FGs), Tampa (the horrible punt return yardage allowed), and against the Jets (kick return yardage allowed, punt return yardage allowed, muffed punt), we would be looking at a 5-3 record instead of the 2-6 record we have now.

It's the little things that keep killing this team and that is what is so frustrating to me. You can control the little things. It's an Attention To Detail issue that is just missing.
I need a drink.
