Quote:Scapegoat. Apparently he was supposed to make Andre and Gore five years younger

Gore has been good, for the record.

I agree though. This is a scapegoat. Should be Pagano.

I think Pagano will be out as HC, either at the end of the season or possibly before if the downward spiral continues.

Isn't his contract up after this season and didn't he turn down their small offer?

The big question will be who will be the next HC?
Yeesh, everyone around us is coming apart.

Who is to blame most though?:

a. Irsay - The drunk owner desperate to make a splash (think Trent Richardson trade on twitter)

b. Grigson - The guy drafting wide receivers in round 1 who aren't needed. Wasting money on has-beens or never have-beens and ignoring the O line.

c. Luck - The guy throwing it to the other team

d. Pagano - The mediocre head coach

e. Hamilton - The guy calling the plays.

I would say B,A,C,D, E personally. Luck needs a great O line and running game if he's to get a championship he just isn't good enough to throw it this much.
Pep wasn't the issue. He can't control Luck's badly thrown passes and multiple interception games. Definitely a scapegoat ironically similar to former Clots coach Jim Caldwell canning his OC last week. Matt Stafford still looked like [BLEEP].
Quote:   Before the season Pep Hamilton was considered a likely NFL HC candidate.   As we have often seen,   things change quickly in the Not for Long league.
It's not that Hamilton is a horrible coordinator. He's proven that he's not. It's that Pagano is desperate and looking to make some change, any change, that gives Irsay a possible reason not to fire him next week.

Wasn't Hamilton Luck's OC at Stanford? It'll be interesting to see how Luck responds, on and off the field, if so.
The Colts will never be a great team with Grigson around. Bad drafting and bad at FA signing.

So why didn't Chuck Pagano fire someone else who obviously is not as good at his job as Pep Hamilton was? I suspect the reason is there were no better options. The Colts are killing themselves on offense.

Because saying, "I'm going to save my job and fix the offense by firing the assistant wide receivers coach," typically ends badly for the head coach.

No big names will want to get near that dumpster fire with Irsay as the owner and Grigson.

Also, Indianapolis is a microcosm of the NFL in general. The majority of clamor when a fanbase is unhappy is centered around the play caller. So to soothe the masses, they give them the head of the play caller. The NFL is nothing more than a giant PR machine that waffles back and forth just to give the fans what they want, so Indy follows suit.

"You guys hate the OC?!?! I'll fire the OC for ya!"
Quote:"You guys hate the OC?!?! I'll fire the OC for ya!"
"No, Chuck, we hate you!"

"You hate me? Well, I'm not firing myself so...did you hear that I fired the OC?"
Quote:I wonder how many OC's Manning, Rodgers and Brady have got fired...

Shouldn't elite QB's get these guys promoted?
those guys get OCs coaching jobs they don't deserve lol

"Also, I brought you guys lemon squares! Everyone loves lemon squares!"

Fans always hate the HC first, then the OC. Look at Jaguars fans - they hate Gus Bradley but don't complain about Greg Olson.
Hold on, I thought they sucked because luck was hurt?

They are bad because of Andrew Suck having a bad season. It has nothing to do with the injury.

Yeah, clotswarrior, if luck is playing poorly because of an injury, why would they fire his long time OC? He surely cant heal broken ribs....
I just hope we take of our little world here and let these other three dumpster fires just burn ,burn  and burn on.

They're pretty hard to put out when you have wacko owners, interim/hot seat coaches and ditzy GMs.

The poor players are like.....WHAAAAA?

Gore's numbers are way down and atypical for him.

I'm assuming you're suggesting Gore isn't being used properly, but has done well with his few opportunities.  Asking only because I haven't seen him fed the ball enough to notice whether or not he's been good with those few chances.
