Once again, he's a 30-year-old backup tweener who's had exactly one noteworthy season in his entire career. I'd rather save the draft pick and go after another D-Rob, McCray or Bowanko than bring in a past-his-prime player who might have another good year in him or might just be another washed-up veteran who takes a vacation in Jacksonville.

Lol, you are something. All three players you named are on the bench and are very average. Yea, lets bring more of those players in. The way some fans accept mediocrity on this board is amazing.

Hes playing in the wrong system. The other guys named just suck. If we landed him, instantly becomes our best pass rusher. Thats sad, isn't it?

I know cause McCray and Bowanko are great examples.

How many 7th rounds picks are on our current roster?

Meh... might as well sign Max Valles off the Raiders PS after Del Rio "coaches him up" this year.

Unless we get a young guy or a really good deal, we will be continuing to use FA and the draft and hopefully have a winning team next season.


Our talent level is up, we are getting close.

And Willie Young isn't average? He's had one good year. One. And now he's a 30-year-old backup tweener. Again, if he were 28, I'd be interested in him for as much as a fifth-round pick, but we're not talking about a player in his prime. We're talking about a one-year wonder on the downslope of his career. This wouldn't be a move about building for the future. It would be a move about a desperate race to 7-9 so we can lose 41-14 in the wild card round.
