Would you do it?
Joe Thomas, Mack, Haden for 2016 2nd, 3rd and 5th

I haven't really had the chance to keep up with Haden. Is he still pretty good?
Naw

Last season, I think I would.. This season, I'm not so sure.. Probably not..
I haven't watched either to determine if they are just "names" now, so I am not sure what my thoughts are.
This trade is terrible. Joe Thomas and Mack will fall apart on us. Haden is having is own issues.

Ian rapport

The #Browns have engaged in discussions about potentially trading two of their best players: LT Joe Thomas and C Alex Mack, sources say.
Joe Haden is a beast.
Let's trade half our draft for offensive help because the defense is set said no one ever....
Let's send a 1st and LJ to the Browns for all 3.

What position does Haden play? WR?
I'd eat a live rat if the browns would trade Mack and Haden for 1 1st.
If you have a chance to fleece the only franchise worse than us, you take it IMO.

Not sure what Hadens contract situation is, but should be interesting next couple days
Mack and Haden are struggling this year and Joe Thomas is a few years from retirement.
Mack can opt out of his contract at the end of this year. Why would you trade a high pick for a guy you might only have for nine games?

Haden has a $10M salary next year. If the Browns cut or traded him, they'd take (by my count) an immediate acceleration of $8,400,000 onto their salary cap in addition to the existing $2.9M signing/workout bonus proration. It would essentially cost them more to trade Haden this year than it would to keep him on the team for 2016. If they trade or release him in the offseason, they save less than $2M under the cap. The Browns, by the way, have nothing remotely resembling a cap problem. Wanting to offload Mack or Thomas, a couple of aging linemen having down years, makes a bit of sense. Trading away a solid corner who's only 26 does not.

Also, I would not give up what is likely to be a high first-round pick for any combination of the above, especially if it appears a new coach will be coming in and wanting to add his own guys.

Just sign Mack in the offseason and draft Hargreaves.

I'd much rather have Hargreaves than Haden.

I think Hargreaves looks better than Haden did at UF. Plus obviously younger.

Haden is two years into a 6 year, $75 million contract.
