Been watching some of their games via gamepass, and I've gotta say they remind me a bit of the Jags in terms of what they're trying to do and what they are currently accomplishing. I think they're a little bit more stable than we are, probably from their experienced coaching, but I think talent wise we are pretty similar. I really think the arrow is pointing up for both these teams and I have to wonder if we'll start to see them parallel each other, especially if the Jaguars start seeing more consistency.

I know both teams are wildly different in style, but they just seem to both strike the same chord with me. Am I crazy or does anyone else feel the same?
Very similar trajectories.

The difference will be the 2 quarterbacks' ceiling.

Oakland does seem a little bit ahead, and I do agree that the experienced coach is why.
Why do you think Carrs ceiling is lower than Bortles?

I don't actually think that, poorly worded by me I guess. I think both have very similar ceilings. I meant to say whomever reachs that ceiling.

Both have great aptitude and willingness to get better. I guess you could call it high football character.

Physically, one has a big arm and the other has a big body.

Both have that gunslinger mentality. They really trust their talents.

Will be fun to watch the growth and parrallels between both.

He's David Carr's brother.

Eventually Del Rio will become Del Rio

Get up for the big games, falter in the games you should win, and finish around 8-8. Throw in a player controversy or two and an offensive coordinator thrown under the bus and you'll know he's arrived.
I'll take the Raiders this week too against Jets
Derek Carr is very safe with the ball. I like that about him.

Hmm maybe its because Jack Del Rio their Head Coach was the Jaguars HC for so long, you remember how he ran things... that could be what you remember....

or the fact that Olson had the offense a certain way right before leaving which is what he is doing here...

They have improved, as have we. I think the biggest difference is that their top 5 pick from this year is playing like a pro bowler as a rookie and ours is injured. I honestly believe that if Fowler were playing and Cooper had a season ending injury in camp, that we would be 5-2 or better, and they would be 2-4 or worse.

i think the biggest difference is that both their lines are far superior to ours and their veteran players actually contribute.

After this season is over, there's going to be a lot of "what ifs" on just how good this team could have been (and in some ways still can be) if we had Fowler in and a consistent pass rush.

I see what you did there. I think Blake will get there to a level that fans can deal with.

feel free to be a Raider fan and why you at it go purchase yourself Amari Cooper Jersey
Del Rio with another win for the Raiders.

Carr with 4 TDs and the ageless Charles Woodson with 5 INTs on the season.

But but but, we should never sign old free agents, we only can go young. No signing over the age of 28
Turns out you guys don't know JACK.

Jack is a solid head coach, but it will be interesting to see if he learned from his time here and doesn't begin to alienate some of the players.

Their O-line in particular looked really good today. This was only the third Raiders game I have watched this year. The Broncos and Ravens games were the other 2. I don't remember being as impressed before, but today was very impressive.
