Nothing Shandy shall pass these lips.

Order a beer, if she doesn't like said beer. Get rid of girl, and order another beer.

Quote:And here I thought that beer that tastes like urine was a uniquely American phenomenon.

Nope, it's a worldwide thing it seems.
Quote:Framboise Lambic.

Or a Shandy
.

Why do you want him to drink furniture polish?
Skip the beer.  Get her hammered with a Long Island Iced Tea.

I did not know that Natty Light was an option.

That's chrome polish. If you want to name something a "shandy" it has to taste like furniture polish.

Would like to disagree:

I remember hearing a lot of good stuff about it from my Wisconsin friends and I was all worked up to give it a shot. But much like Fat Tire, the results did not meet the hype. As for a warm weather beer, Crabbies Ginger Beer is some seriously good stuff. At least, in my opinion it is.

This explains a lot Wink
Why does she want to get into beer if she doesn't like the taste?

What beers has she tasted? Bud? That stuff is very watered down compared to legit beers. My favorites are from Stone Brewing Company. Personal fav is their Arrogant Bastard Ale.
Sam Adams Chocolate Cherry Bach is pretty yummy if that's what you are looking for. Its also very hard to find.

If ginger beer's your thing, try out Left Hand's Good Juju. I'm not a huge fan of ginger beers, but I even thought it was pretty good.

Oaked Arrogant Bastard is, imo, Stone's best brew, but their vanilla porter is also really good. Stone's got a lot of good beers in general. My all-time favorite from them was a one-off collaboration with Green Flash and Pizza Port called Highway 78, in reference to the freeway that connects Escondido, Carlsbad and Oceanside, CA, where those three breweries are located. Best beer I've ever had, no question about it.
Heh. And Stone is building a brand spanking new beer facility just a few minutes drive from my place.

Who's the big winner?! This guy!

I hate myself for leaving Denver for a lot of reasons, and moving from beer nirvana to beer purgatory is high on the list.
Lambic for sure. It tastes like juice! It's actually delicious.

I have very close relatives who live in Carlsbad and Oceanside... Boy oh boy, I'm looking forwards to some brew-hopping!
