Bortles poised for a huge game. Bills don't pressure the qb well this year and have allowed quite a few more passing tds than the average pass d.
Every time we face an extremely banged up team it grinds me to my core that we're not above .500 right now

Easiest 4 game stretch in the NFL by far, about to be 0-4 through it.

I can't wait until the offseason.

Said it before the Colts game, said it before the Bucs game, and then the Texans game...so, uh...no

Doesn't matter if Bortles has a big game or not. He's had a few this year as well and our defense/special teams managed to let him down. The entire team has to show up on Sunday. It's the one thing I can't stand about this year so far. If the offense shows up, the defense sits that one out. If the defense shows up, the offense decides to cough the ball up a bit more. If the game can be won with a field goal, we miss it. If the game is a battle of defense and no scoring on offense the punt return or kick return squad manages to give up premium starting position on the field. It's always something with this football team. Total team effort is needed.
Quote:Shady McCoy will turn multiple 3rd and 15 to first downs on little screen passes and Charles Clay will be running seam passes up the middle on our passive cover 2 zone.

That's just it. Yeah they have a few injuries, but Shady McCoy is not among them. Watching him in thier last game he's itching to break out, and we're talking about an elite RB in this league. And no I'm not throwing the word "elite" around loosely. McCoy is just about as good as it gets, and I fear against the Jaguars defense he's about to light up the fantasy boards.

The Bills are only down one DT on what is one of the league's best defenses, and offensively they're still potent with EJ at the helm. It was a rather tough call for the Bills to elect Tyrod over EJ, and the only reason they did was because Tyrod can run a bit too. But EJ is just as good of a pocket passer.

^ this.

wasn't their defense supposed to be one of the best in the league this year? gues that didn't work out...
Quote:^ this.

I wouldn't underestimate their defense. They held the Colts, Dolphins and Titans to 14 points or less, and their other games were against the Patriots, Giants and Bengals. The Giants managed to get some turnovers for a short field enabling them to score 24 points.

good point, especially against us. I'm expecting a loss but I just want to continue to see growth in Bortles, I would definitely say his development is the most important thing right now. We'll see how he fares against a Rex Ryan defense, I wonder what Olson will have drawn up, hopefully some deep shots to AR15, Hurns, and JT
Quote:From the vibe I am getting, Gus may be the HC of the Jags forever.
He'll get extended this offseason.

Bortles has improved enough where he can win games almost by himself. To me it matters if bortles continues to play well or even improve even in a loss. Bortles could throw for 3 tds and 3 ints and that'd be great to see.

Ideally a 2 td no int game would be nice but with so much working against him the margin of victory and success gives him only so much chance to earn a win.

He's putting up one of the best seasons a qb his age has shown in nfl history with little help. A quarter of recievers stop running routes and he's top 15 qbs in the world already.
Quote:But we're supposed to "let the process play out".

Well it sure is one painful process.
Quote:BUT, we wont. Bills have so many injuries and they wont use it as an excuse like people on here do. We will still lose by 15.

Rex Ryan: Tyrod Taylor, Sammy Watkins, Percy Harvin, Kyle Williams, Seantrel Henderson, Karlos Williams will not play Sunday vs. Jaguars.

So...this week is pretty much like every week except for when we played the Pats.   Hmm...
Why does this thread pop up every week? It's been proven we can't win winnable games.
Y'all still optimistic about the wins during the week only to realize Saturday we gonna see the same ol b..s...

You know next week we'll see...

If there's any game we could win, it's this game at the Jets.

if they do somehow pull out the win over the bills you can be sure that gus will be taking the team on a nice little outing for tea and scrumpets.

We've squandered several favorable matchups
