What are 3 things you would do RIGHT NOW to improve the on field results.

Blitz on passing downs for crying out loud

Go for 2 everytime

Ask Rodger if we can play 12 men.

Spy on our opponents and deflate balls.

1.) Play Ryan Davis much more for starters.

2.) Devise a system that'll allow you to make adjustments offensively and defensively on the fly let alone at half time. 

3.) Pray that the team continues to get healthy and have the team play lights out on both sides of the ball for the remainder of the year.

 

As for the long term changes, fix our LB and DE issues...

The solution to the Jaguars' defensive woes is 80% scheme. It doesn't work anymore. The 4-3 under base is the Wildcat of defenses.

 

This offseason I would meet with my GM, and we'd ask ourselves who we're going to keep as we transition to a basic 4-3 defense.

Rush 3 and drop one into coverage to aid struggling secondary.

Cut Ryan Davis' Dline snaps so he's fresh for struggling special teams.

Incorporate Marcedes Lewis more in the passing game.

That's a good question. Fowler is a prototypical 3-4 OLB and, in my opinion, if he's worth his draft slot he already fills the position in a 3-4 scheme that's hardest to find in my opinion, which is a premiere pass rusher.

 

I'd let him play DE in a 4-3. He looked just fine playing with his hand on the ground in Florida

 

Maybe he ends up being miscast, I don't know. But the Seattle-style 4-3 under defense is dead. It's been figured out.

1. I would ask everyone of youse for input. From the guy who kills your speakers cheering to the condescending knowitall. Coaching by committee - you get a drive, I get a drive (only fair).


2. I would ("we" would) give Myers the boot and replace him with Sandalwood's 6th year senior fudbal player (don't be silly and ask to sign any Armada players, we cannot afford such talent).


3. I would appeal, on our behalf, to the war crimes tribunal for ex Yugoslavia at The Hague and ask that defensive coordinator, for lack of a better term, Bob Babič, be tried for treason with crimes against the Jaguars very own defense.

1) Step #1 as head coach-- make certain my contract was longer than 2 years

2) Bench all of the starters to ensure we get the #1 pick --- maybe the better strategy is starting all of the starters to ensure the #1 pick (HA !!)

3) This goes hand in hand with #2 above.  Rest Bortles the remainder of the season to prevent injury.

I have real idea.


If I was a defensive coach I would start by taking big wrs and TEs who can't catch in the nfl and covert them into a new position designed to cover TEs man to man. Because small dbs or slow lbs is not working anymore.

Well I'd resign, because I'm not qualified to be a head coach.
