Quote:So nothing about the real issue with our running game?

Which is?

The offense line. I'm not sure if you are messing with me or not...

The line is bad and a problem. The running backs are bad and a problem. The coaching is bad and a problem.

You...you don't really think this is only the fault of the line, do you?

The Oline is far and away the issue with the running game. I can't remember having a worse run blocking line. I'm just not sure how you are able to judge Yeldon when he is getting hit in the backfield and has no holes or room to run.
Already a bummer of a Monday and I have to be reminded of this.

Thanks Man.

I'm not worried about the backs (minus Slowby and Denard being healthy). When they have holes, we've seen what they can do. But I think the playcalling used with them isn't helping either. I wasn't able to watch yesterday's game; but why didn't we use Denard more than Slowby? Was he not 100% yet? I'm completely done with hoping for Toby to show signs. I haven't seen anything from him. The others I have seen the needed flash.

GO JAGS!!

Yes, they are bad. However I do not doubt that Fred Taylor or MJD could get at least 4 yards a carry despite the ineptitude of this line. Good RBs get their yards. Period.

They are awful. The above is what you believe with no verifiable way to prove it either way. I remember both Fred Taylor and MJD having solid to great lines pretty much throughout their careers. Yeldon probably has some share of the blame. I was just surprised you pointed him out over the line.

I am just sharing the misery across the team.

Only player exempt is my boy Hurns.

Is not the issue.

In the first game of 2008 the Jags lost both starting guards for the season and Meester for six games (plus he wasn't very good after coming off that injury). They had a revolving door of replacements at guard and center. MJD still averaged 4.2 y/a, Fred (in his last year as a Jag) was 3.9.

Yeldon is currently leading the Jags RBs in y/a @ 3.6.

I'd say it's a combo of the OL and the RBs.

Quote:So it's Yeldon's fault if he has to run in a pile of bodies in the middle ? Maybe our OLine is just not able to open holes for him.

Here we go.

You think MJD in his rookie season wouldn't have a rushing TD after 6 games?

Or Fred Taylor for that matter. Both were studs with or without a quality line.
Leonard Fournette please.

A man can dream.

Exactly. MJD wasnt even the starter his rookie season.

I don't eve watch college and I saw him tear up FL on Saturday. He's the real deal.
Some just don't wanna accept this team sucks from top to bottom outside of maybe 4 or 5 players after 3 years of building.

He's a game changer, something the Jags need desperately.

Who doesn't accept that?  I think we are mostly on board with that, although i'd add maybe 2 or 3 players.
