Depending on their bylaws, the Dems could possibly demand he leave the party. If they want him to switch parties then they are playing into the hands of the opposition.

Sad but true. I loathe our political system in our country. It's terrible. We'll never be a nation united because these two parties and their leaders and their fanatics and sycophants keep us divided.
