Quote:1) Trubisky

2) Deshaun Watson

3) Kizer

4) Mahomes
So 2nd round graded QBs? lol

Great list!
Quote:1A. Allen

1B. Thomas

3. Adams

No reason to do 4 though since Garrett is gone and we pick 4th.
Same as me. (Thomas is borderline 1A at this point for me)

I would put Lattimore in the mix with Adams as well but I think we go CB in FA so I don't include him as well.

I think Thomas has an extremely high ceiling. Like Aaron Donald high.

I think Allen is very good but his ceiling isn't as high. His floor however is much better than Thomas.

I agree completely.

Like I said in another thread I think at the moment Allen is the best player but whenever I watch Thomas I get the feeling he can become a better player than Allen and has a really high (and higher than Allen like you said)ceiling.

Both are great options anyway and I wouldn't complain one bit with one or the other.

I absolutely love that dudes motor.
Right now it would be:

1) Fournette
2) Allen
3) Adams
4) Lattimore

However, depending on Fournette's 40 time (which usually I don't consider too much; but he's a big RB, so it's important I think), if it's slow I'd go:

1) Allen
2) Adams
3) Lattimore
4) Thomas

He never stops and with his athleticism he has the potential to make a huge difference on a line where other players draw double teams (like on ours with M. Jackson and Yannick).

Can't wait to see the number he posts at the short shuttle and 3 cone drill.

If he really blows people away there is an outside chance that he could be gone before 4.
1. Adams

2. Allen

3. Lattimore

4. Thomas

Actually this..
Quote:1. Adams

2. Allen

3. Lattimore

4. Thomas

Adams in my opinion is a great talent. But he's no Sean Taylor or Berry. For that reason I think he's top 10 but not top 5.

lol. yup, gotta keep finding that franchise qb. We gonna get lucky someday.
I am fine with any of:

Allen

Adams

Thomas

Not a fan of two top 5 CB in a row
After reading about Allen's arthritis, my top 4 has changed. Now, it would . be:

1. Thomas

2. Adams

3. Cook

4. Hooker

1. Hooker

2. Thomas

3. Fournette

4. Howard
1. Adams

2. Lattimore

3. Thomas

4. Hooker
1. Adams

2. Adams

3. Adams

4. Adams

This draft is the first in some time where I actually feel  confident about a pretty high number of players as top five selections.

  • Adams would be untraditional - but would make immediate impact (given how our SS position has been abused by TEs and slot receivers for years).
  • Cook and Fournette can both be seen as "rare talents" pretty easily and could sway my usual stance against taking an RB early
  • Garrett, Thomas, Allen all seem like guys that would quickly increase disruption from our D-line
  • Even the top two corners seem like a conceivable outside the box option here if the team doesn't land one in FA - though I prefer round 2 for a CB
It would be tough not to land a quality player in the first 3 rounds of this draft IMO.

I think the bold is why I believe it will be one of those 3 guys. They need to win now and having a better pass rush is one of the best ways to do it.

Last two players Coughlin drafted here were Stroud and Henderson.

(But then, he already had Fred Taylor.)
